3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 33-49-00-710-052-A

A. Test
Do the operational test of the wing and engine scan lighting AMM 33-49-00-710-001.

4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 33-49-00-810-051-A

A. If, during the operational test, when you set the EXT LT/WING switch (2LX) to ON, the left wing and engine scan light (3LX) does not operate correctly:

NOTE: For the GLS LEDs technology, if there are three or more LEDs that do not come on, Airbus does not make sure that sufficient lighting or a minimum of the lighting as given by the sealed beam lights will come on.

do a check of the circuit breaker (5LX) status.

(1) If the circuit breaker is closed:

do a check for 115VAC at the switch (2LX) pin 2B.

(a) If there is 115VAC:

replace the LT-WING & ENG SCAN, L [3LX] AMM 33-49-11-000-001 and AMM 33-49-11-400-001.

1 If the fault continues:

do a check for a ground signal at the left wing and engine scan light (3LX).

a If there is no ground signal:

repair the wiring from the left wing and engine scan light (3LX) to the ground terminal ASM 334901.

b If there is a ground signal:

do a check and repair the wiring from the switch (2LX) pin 2B to the pin A/A of the left wing and engine scan light (3LX) ASM 334901.

(b) If there is no 115VAC:

replace the SW-EXT LT/WING (2LX) AIPC 334908.

1 If the fault continues:

do a check for 115VAC at pin 3 of the circuit breaker (5LX).

a If there is no 115VAC:

replace the C/B-LIGHTING/EXT LT/WING/AND ENG SCAN/L [5LX]

b If there is 115VAC:

repair the wiring from the circuit breaker (5LX) to the pin 1B of the switch (2LX).
