A. Test
Do the operational test of the taxi and take off light AMM 33-46-00-710-001.
NOTE: Do this test for the take off light only.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 33-46-00-810-051-A
A. If during the operational test when you set the EXT LT/NOSE switch to TO position, the take off light does not operate correctly:
  • Do a check of the circuit breaker LIGHTING/EXT LT/TAXI AND TAKE OFF/TO (3LR) status.
   (1) If the circuit breaker is closed:
- Do a check for 115VAC at pin A/2 of the takeoff-light power-supply relay (5LR).
- Do a check for 28VDC at pin A/X of the takeoff-light power-supply relay (5LR).
     (a) If there is no 28VDC at pin A/X:
       1 If the fault continues:
  • Do a check of the wiring ASM 334601 between:
    . Pin 3B of the EXT LT/NOSE switch (4LR) and pin A/X of the takeoff-light power-supply relay (5LR)
    . Pin AB/11K of the LGCIU 2 (5GA2) and pin A/Z of the takeoff-light power-supply relay (5LR).
a If there is no continuity:
  • Repair the above wiring.
         b If there is continuity:
  • Do a check and repair the wiring from the EXT LT/NOSE switch (4LR) pin 1B to the first terminal block ASM 334601.
     (b) If there is no 115VAC at pin A/2:
       1 If the fault continues:
  • Do a check of the wiring between the pin A/1 of the takeoff-light power-supply relay (5LR) and the circuit breaker (3LR) ASM 334601.
a If there is no continuity:
  • Repair the above wiring.
         b If there is continuity:
  • Replace the C/B-LIGHTING/EXT LT/TAXI AND TAKE OFF/TO [3LR] .
     (c) If there is 115VAC at pin A/2 and 28VDC at pin A/X of the take off-light power-supply relay (5LR):
       1 For LED take-off light:
a For ECE take-off light with incandescent lamp technology or ECE take-off light and Honeywell take-off light with halogen lamp technology:
b Remove the lamp from the LT-TAKE OFF [7LR] AMM 33-46-11-960-001.
c Do a check for 28VAC at the lamp socket.
* If there is 28VAC at the lamp socket:
** For ECE take-off light with incandescent lamp technology:
. Replace the lamp of the take-off light AMM 33-46-11-960-001.
** For ECE take-off light and Honeywell take-off light with halogen lamp technology:
. Replace the halogen bulb of the take-off light AMM 33-46-11-960-002.
* If there is not 28VAC at the lamp socket:
- Replace the LT-TAKE OFF [7LR] AMM 33-46-11-000-001 and AMM 33-46-11-400-001.
         d If the fault continues:
* Do a check and repair the wiring ASM 334601 between:
. Pin A/D of the take-off light (7LR) and pin A/2 of the take-off light power-supply relay (5LR)
. Pin A/E of the take-off light (7LR) and the ground.
   (2) If the circuit breaker is open:
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • Replace the C/B-LIGHTING/EXT LT/TAXI AND TAKE OFF/TO [3LR] .
Subtask 33-46-00-710-053-A
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
