A. Test
Do the operational test of the runway turn off lights AMM 33-43-00-710-001.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 33-43-00-810-051-A
A. If during the operational test when you set the EXT LT/RWY TURN OFF switch (2LC) to the ON position, the Left runway- turn-off light does not operate correctly:
NOTE: For the GLS LEDs technology, if there are more than two LEDs that do not come on, Airbus does not make sure that sufficient lighting or a minimum of the same as obtained with the sealed beam lights will come on.
  • Do a check of the left runway-turn-off lighting/external light circuit-breaker (1LC1) status.
   (1) If the circuit breaker is closed:
  • Do a check of continuity between the left runway-turn-off lighting/external light circuit-breaker (1LC1) and pin A/A of the left runway-turn-off light (3LC1).
     (a) If there is continuity:
  • Do a check for 115VAC between pin A/A and pin A/B of the left runway-turn-off light (3LC1).
       1 If there is 115VAC:
a For GLS LEDs Light Unit technology:
b For ECE Light unit with incandescent lamp technology and Honeywell Light unit with halogen lamp technology:
  • Remove the Lamp from the left runway-turn-off light (3LC1) AMM 33-43-11-960-002.
  • Do a check for 28VAC at the lamp socket.
    * If there is 28VAC at the lamp socket:
** For ECE Light unit with incandescent lamp technology:
Replace the Lamp of the left runway-turn-off light (3LC1) AMM 33-43-11-960-002.
** For ECE Light unit and Honeywell Light unit with halogen lamp technology:
Replace the Halogen Bulb of the left runway-turn-off light (3LC1) AMM 33-43-11-960-001.
2 If there is no 28VAC at the lamp socket:
3 If there is no 115VAC:
  • Repair the wiring from pin A/B of the left runway-turn-off light (3LC1) to the ground terminal ASM 334301.
     (b) If there is no continuity:
  • Replace RELAY-PWR SPLY, RWY TURN OFF LT (6LC) AIPC 334308.
       1 If the fault continues:
  • Do a check for 115VAC at pin A/B2 of the power supply relay (6LC).
         a If there is 115VAC:
  • Repair the wiring between pin A/B1 of the power supply relay (6LC) and pin A/A of the left runway-turn-off light (3LC1) ASM 334301.
b If there is no 115VAC:
  • Replace C/B-LIGHTING/EXT LT/RWY TURN OFF/L [1LC1] .
    * If the fault continues:
    - Repair the wiring between pin A/B2 of the power supply relay (6LC) and the left runway-turn-off lighting/external light circuit-breaker (1LC1) ASM 334301.
   (2) If the circuit breaker is open:
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • Replace C/B-LIGHTING/EXT LT/RWY TURN OFF/L [1LC1] .
Subtask 33-43-00-710-053-A
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
