Subtask 33-12-00-710-076-B
A. Test
Do the operational test of the general illumination AMM 33-12-00-710-001.
NOTE: Do this test for the Captain suppplementary reading light only.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 33-12-00-810-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If during the operational test, on the Captain side:
   (1) The reading light rheostat (30LE) is inoperative on the related supplementary reading light (29LE):
  • replace the RHEOSTAT-READING LT (30LE) on the Captain side AIPC 331208.
   (2) The supplementary reading light (29LE) does not come on:
     (a) If there is 28VDC:
     (b) If there is no 28VDC:
  • do a check for continuity between pin A/1 and pin A/2 of the reading light rheostat (30LE) on the Captain side.
       1 If there is no continuity:
  • replace the RHEOSTAT-READING LT (30LE) on the Captain side AIPC 331208.
       2 If there is continuity:
  • do a check for 28VDC at pin A/1 of the reading light rheostat (30LE) ASM 331202.
         a If there is no 28VDC:
  • do a check and repair the wiring between the reading light rheostat (30LE) pin A/1 and the first terminal block ASM 331202.
         b If there is 28VDC:
  • do a check and repair the wiring between the supplementary reading light (29LE):
    . and the reading light rheostat (30LE)
    . and the ground terminal ASM 331202.
Subtask 33-12-00-810-063-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If during the operational test, on the F/O side:
   (1) On the reading light panel 54VU:
  • The supplementary reading light (29LE) does not come on when you turn the READING LT potentiometer from the OFF position to the BRT position.
  • Do a check for a ground signal at pin 2 of the supplementary reading light (29LE) ASM 331202.
     (a) If there is no ground signal:
  • Repair the wiring between pin 2 of the supplementary reading light (29LE) and the ground.
     (b) If there is a ground signal:
  • Do a check for continuity from the pin 1 of the supplementary reading light (29LE) to the pin A/2 of the reading-light single control-box (51LE) ASM 331202.
       1 If there is no continuity:
  • Repair the wiring .
       2 If there is continuity:
  • Do a check for 28VDC at pin 1 of the receptacle of the reading-light single control-box (51LE) ASM 331202.
         a If there is no 28VDC:
  • Repair the wiring .
         b If there is 28VDC:
  • Do a check for a ground signal at pin A/3 of the receptacle of the reading-light single control-box (51LE) ASM 331202.
    * If there is no ground signal:
    * - Repair the wiring between pin A/3 of the receptacle of the reading-light single control-box (51LE) and the ground terminal.
    * If there is ground signal:
    * - Replace LT-READING, SUPPLEMENTARY [29LE] AMM 33-12-12-000-803 and AMM 33-12-12-400-803.
    ** If the fault continues:
    ** - Replace CTL BOX-SINGLE, READING LT [51LE] AMM 33-12-12-000-803 and AMM 33-12-12-400-803.
