A. Test
Do the operational test of the general illumination AMM 33-12-00-710-001
NOTE: Do this test for the console and briefcase lights only.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 33-12-00-810-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If, during the operational test:
   (1) One console light on the Captain side does not operate correctly:
  • remove the defective lamp 17LE or 19LE or 21LE or 23LE AMM 33-12-15-000-001.
  • make sure that there is 28VDC at the lamp socket.
     (a) If there is 28VDC:
     (b) If there is no 28VDC:
   (2) The four console and briefcase lights on the Captain side do not operate correctly:
  • do a check for a ground signal at pin 1D of the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch (15LE) in the BRT position ASM 331201.
     (a) If there is no ground signal:
       1 If the fault continues:
  • repair the wiring between the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch (15LE) pin 3D and the ground terminal ASM 331201.
     (b) If there is a ground signal:
  • do a check for 28VDC at pin 2A of the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch (15LE) ASM 331201.
       1 If there is 28VDC:
  • do a check and repair the wiring between the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch (15LE) and the Captain console and briefcase lights ASM 331201.
       2 If there is no 28VDC:
         a If the fault continues:
  • repair the wiring from the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch (15LE) to the first terminal block ASM 331201.
Subtask 33-12-00-810-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If, during the operational test:
   (1) One console light on the Captain side does not operate correctly:
  • Remove the defective console light (17LE) or (19LE) or (21LE) or briefcase light (23LE) AMM 33-12-15-000-001.
  • Make sure that there is 28VDC at the light receptacle.
     (a) If there is 28VDC:
  • Replace the defective console light 17LE or 19LE or 21LE or briefcase light 23LE AMM 33-12-15-400-001.
     (b) If there is no 28VDC:
   (2) The three console lights and the briefcase light on the Captain side do not operate correctly:
  • Do a check for a ground signal at pin 1D of the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch (15LE) in the BRT position ASM 331201.
     (a) If there is no ground signal:
       1 If the fault continues:
  • Repair the wiring between the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch (15LE) pin 3D and the ground terminal.
     (b) If there is a ground signal:
  • Do a check for 28VDC at pin 2A of the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch (15LE) ASM 331201.
       1 If there is 28VDC:
  • Do a check and repair the wiring between the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch (15LE) and the Captain console and briefcase lights ASM 331201.
       2 If there is no 28VDC:
         a If the fault continues:
  • Repair the wiring from the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch (15LE) to the first terminal block.
