4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 32-45-00-810-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Procedure
   (1) If the test does not confirm the fault but the fault continues:
     (a) Replace the CTL VALVE-PARK BRK,ELEC. [72GG] .
   (2) If the test confirms the fault:
     (a) Do a check for the 28VDC signal on pins A/A and B/A of the electrical parking-brake control-valve (72GG) with the parking-brake control switch (73GG) in the OFF position.
     (b) Do a check for the 28VDC signal on pins A/C and B/C of the electrical parking-brake control-valve (72GG) with the parking-brake control switch (73GG) in the ON position.
   (3) If there is no 28VDC signal:
     (a) Do a check and repair:
  • The wiring from 73GG pin 3 to 72GG pin A/C
  • The wiring from 73GG pin 11 to 72GG pin A/A
  • The wiring from 73GG pin 15 to 72GG pin B/C
  • The wiring from 73GG pin 23 to 72GG pin B/A
    ASM 324501.
   (4) If there is a 28VDC signal:
  • Do a check for ground signal on the two electrical connectors of the electrical parking-brake control-valve (72GG).
     (a) If there is no ground signal:
1 Do a check and repair:
  • The wiring from 73GG pin 3 to 72GG pin A/C
  • The wiring from 73GG pin 11 to 72GG pin A/A
  • The wiring from 73GG pin 15 to 72GG pin B/C
  • The wiring from 73GG pin 23 to 72GG pin B/A
    ASM 324501.
       2 If the fault continues:
     (b) If there is a ground signal:
Subtask 32-45-00-810-055-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) Get access to the parameter call-up menus AMM 31-36-00-740-008.
     (a) On parking-brake panel 110VU, set the parking-brake control switch (73GG) to the OFF position.
1 With the MCDU keyboard, enter the SDAC-1(2) parameter label call-up with the alphanumeric keys in the format EQ/SYS/LAB/SDI as follows:
  • 29/1/006/01 for system 1 and 29/2/006/01 for system 2.
2 Make sure that the label parameters 29/1/006/01 and 29/2/006/01 bit 29 of the line "SSM DATABITS 28-11" are set to 1.
     (b) On parking-brake panel 110VU, set the parking-brake control switch (73GG) to the ON position.
1 With the MCDU keyboard, enter the SDAC-1(2) parameter label call-up with the alphanumeric keys in the format EQ/SYS/LAB/SDI as follows:
  • 29/1/006/01 for system 1 and 29/2/006/01 for system 2.
2 Make sure that the label parameters 29/1/006/01 and 29/2/006/01 bit 29 of the line "SSM DATABITS 28-11" are set to 0.
   (2) If the label parameters are set to 1 when the parking-brake control switch (73GG) is in the OFF position and set to 0 when the parking-brake control switch (73GG) is in the ON position:
  • Continue the trouble shooting at step 4.A.(5).
   (3) If the label parameters 29/1/006/01 for system 1 and 29/2/006/01 for system 2 are not set to 1 when the parking-brake control switch (73GG) is in the OFF position:
     (a) Do a check for the 28VDC signal at pin 2 of the parking-brake control switch (73GG).
1 If there is no 28VDC signal:
       2 If there is a 28VDC signal:
  • Do a check and repair the wiring between the parking-brake control switch (73GG) pin 2 and SDAC-1(2) pin AD/12B.
   (4) If the label parameters 29/1/006/01 for system 1 and 29/2/006/01 for system 2 are not set to 0 when the parking-brake control switch (73GG) is in the ON position:
     (a) Do a continuity check between pin 2 of the parking-brake control switch (73GG) and the ground.
1 If there is a ground signal:
         a Replace the CTL SW-PARK BRK [73GG] AMM 32-45-52-000-001 AMM 32-45-52-400-001.
