FWD Cargo Door LGCIU 2 Control Fault

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGE OF THE CARGO DOOR IS CLEAR BEFORE YOU UNLOCK IT. STAY AFT OF (LEFT OF) THE DOOR WHEN YOU UNLOCK IT BECAUSE IT CAN OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY.

CAUTION: DO NOT OPEN THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOORS IF THE WIND SPEED IS MORE THAN 40 KNOTS TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE DOOR OR TO THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE.

CAUTION: YOU MUST CLOSE THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOORS BEFORE THE WIND SPEED IS MORE THE 65 KNOTS TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE DOOR OR TO THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE.

3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 32-31-00-700-060-A

A. Test
(1) If the CFDS message LGCIU2(5GA2)/WRG: AA7A is shown (for the FWD cargo door) on the PFR and the FWD cargo door operates correctly:
(a) No maintenance steps are necessary.
(2) If the FWD cargo door does not operate correctly:
(a) Do the fault isolation.

4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 32-31-00-810-163-A

A. Procedure
(1) Remove the LGCIU-2 [5GA2] AMM 32-31-71-000-001.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGE OF THE CARGO DOOR IS CLEAR BEFORE YOU UNLOCK IT. STAY AFT OF (LEFT OF) THE DOOR WHEN YOU UNLOCK IT BECAUSE IT CAN OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY.

(2) Open the FWD cargo door AMM 52-30-00-860-003 but do not open safety and tag the C/B (1MJ):

NOTE: Removal of the LGCIU 2 prevents operation of the Yellow Electric Pump.

(a) Let the door open with gravity only. Do not use force.
(3) Set the FWD cargo door manual selector to open and hold:

NOTE: The cargo door can move with the manual selector set to open.

(a) At the LGCIU 2 ARINC tray:

Do a check at pin AA7A, 28VDC must be available.

(b) Set the FWD cargo door manual selector to the neutral position and hold:

There must be no 28VDC on pin AA7A.

There must be 28VDC available on pin AA7A.

(4) If a defect is found in step (3) do a check and repair the wiring and connectors from the:

LGCIU 2 (5GA2) Pin AA7A to the SW-VALVE FWD SELECTOR 2501MJ Pin AB
ASM 523501.

(5) If the wiring and connectors in step (4) were serviceable:
(a) Replace the MAN SEL VALVE-FWD CARGO DOOR [2501MJ] , AMM 52-36-15-000-001 and AMM 52-36-15-400-001.
(b) Install the LGCIU-2 [5GA2] , AMM 32-31-71-400-001.
(6) Open and close the FWD cargo door AMM 52-30-00-860-001 and AMM 52-30-00-860-002.
(7) If no defect was found in step (3) or the fault continues:
(a) Replace the LGCIU-2 [5GA2] , AMM 32-31-71-000-001 and AMM 32-31-71-400-001.
(8) Do the test in step (6).
(9) If the fault continues:
(a) Do the trouble shooting of the FWD cargo door Ref. TSM ATA 52-30-00.
