A. Test
(1) Do a check of the PFR:
(a) If there is an AUTO RESET message from LGCIU-1 [5GA1] or LGCIU-2 [5GA2] , do the subsequent step.
(2) At an MCDU, get access to the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST page for the LGCIU that reports the fault, AMM 31-32-00-860-009.
(a) Push the line key adjacent to REPORT PREVIOUS LEGS:
4. Fault Isolation(1) Do a check of the PFR:
(a) If there is an AUTO RESET message from LGCIU-1 [5GA1] or LGCIU-2 [5GA2] , do the subsequent step.
(2) At an MCDU, get access to the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST page for the LGCIU that reports the fault, AMM 31-32-00-860-009.
(a) Push the line key adjacent to REPORT PREVIOUS LEGS:
- If there is no AUTO RESET message shown in the previous legs report do the fault isolation procedure in Para. 4. A. (1)
- If there is an AUTO RESET message shown in the previous legs report. Do the fault isolation in Para. 4. A. (4)
- If there is a record of previous LGCIU AUTO RESET faults in the aircraft log. Do the fault isolation in Para. 4. A. (4).

A. Procedure
(1) If this is the first time the fault has been shown, do a BITE test of the LGCIU shown on the PFR AMM 32-69-00-740-001.
(a) If the test is not OK, do the troubleshooting procedure related to the maintenance message.
(b) If the test is OK, do the subsequent step.
(2) Make a record of the serial number of the LGCIU that gives the fault.
(a) If the LGCIU that gives the fault is in the LGCIU-1 position, interchange it with LGCIU-2, AMM 32-31-71-000-001 and AMM 32-31-71-400-001.
(b) If the LGCIU that gives the fault is in the LGCIU-2 position, keep it in LGCIU-2 position.
(4) If the same fault has been recorded before on the LGCIU with the same serial number, replace that defective LGCIU-1 [5GA1] or LGCIU-2 [5GA2] , AMM 32-31-71-000-001 and AMM 32-31-71-400-001.
NOTE: The LGCIU which is thought to be unserviceable can be used again on the subsequent flight, if it is in the LGCIU-2 position.
(3) Make a record in the aircraft log to do a check for an AUTO RESET fault after the subsequent 5 flights. (4) If the same fault has been recorded before on the LGCIU with the same serial number, replace that defective LGCIU-1 [5GA1] or LGCIU-2 [5GA2] , AMM 32-31-71-000-001 and AMM 32-31-71-400-001.
