3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 32-31-00-710-079-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Test
(1) Do A BITE test of the LGCIU that shows the fault AMM 32-69-00-740-001.
(a) If the message INCOMPATIBLE WITH AIRCRAFT TYPE is shown:

Make a record of which LGCIU shows the fault, and do the fault isolation in Para. 4. A.

NOTE: The fault can be caused by incorrect LGCIU installed , or LGCIU pin programming incompatible with aircraft type .

4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 32-31-00-810-152-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Procedure
(1) Make sure that:

LGCIU pins AA5A, AA5B, AA5C and AA5D are not connected to the aircraft wiring
ASM 323102
LGCIU pin AA12A is not connected to the aircraft wiring
ASM 323102.

(a) Make sure that all the electrical connections to the LGCIU-1 and LGCIU-2 are connected correctly (Ref. ASM 32-31).
(b) Make sure that there is no unwanted material that could cause a short between the contacts on the LGCIU1 and LGCIU2.
(c) Do the test in Para. 3. A. (1).
(2) If the fault continues:
(a) Replace the applicable LGCIU-1 or LGCIU-2 AMM 32-31-71-000-001 and AMM 32-31-71-400-001.
