WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING: PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
  • THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
  • THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
  • THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
  • COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
MOVEMENT OF COMPONENTS CAN KILL OR CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
1. Possible Causes
  • aircraft CAS was more than 260kt when the L/G selection was set to down,

B. Test
NOTE: If the CAS (calibrated air speed) is more than 260kt, the safety valve (49GA) will isolate the green hydraulic supply to the landing gear and doors. This will prevent the L/G extension at high speeds so that no damage can occur. If the aircraft CAS was more than 260kt when the L/G selection was set to down, and there were no related messages/warnings, the system function was correct. No more maintenance steps are necessary.
   (1) If the Flap and Slat system has operated at half speed, and the L/G has not operated, do Para. 4.A.(1).
   (2) If the Flap and Slat system operation is correct:
     (a) Do the functional test of the L/G AMM 32-31-00-720-002 up to and to include Para. 'Aircraft Maintenance Configuration' only.
     (b) Wait for a minimum of 15 minutes. This lets the electrical and hydraulic systems get to their operational temperature and become stable.
     (c) Do a reset of the C/Bs that follow:
1 Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):
  • 1GA
  • 2GA
  • 52GA
  • 58GA
  • 59GA.
2 Wait for a minimum of 15 seconds.
3 Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
  • 1GA
  • 2GA
  • 52GA
  • 58GA
  • 59GA.
     (d) Complete the functional test of the L/G AMM 32-31-00-720-002 from Para. 'Removal of the Safety Devices':
1 If the functional test is OK:
a Do the Fault Isolation from Para. 4.A.(4).
2 In the functional test, if the L/G did not operate:
a Do the Fault Isolation from Para. 4.A.(2).
3 If the L/G doors operate correctly but the L/G does not:
a Do the Fault Isolation from Para. 4.A.(8).
   (3) If a fault of the ADIRU-1 [1FP1] and ADIRU-3 [1FP3] is shown on the PFR, do the Fault Isolation from Para 4.A.(9).
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 32-31-00-810-059-B
A. Procedure
   (1) Replace the PRIORITY VALVE [1064GM] , AMM 29-11-33-000-001 and AMM 29-11-33-400-001:
  • Do the test in Para 3.B.(2).
   (2) At the SAFETY VALVE-L/G SYS ISOLATION [49GA] , release the electrical connector 49GA-A.
   (3) Do a check for 28VDC at the free end of connector 49GA-A ASM 323107:
  • If 28VDC is available, do step (6)
  • If 28VDC is not available, connect the connector 49GA-A and do the next step.
   (4) Replace the RELAYS, HERMETICAL [62GA] :
     (a) Do the functional test in Para. 3.B.(2):
  • If the fault continues, do the next step.
   (5) Do a check and repair the aircraft wiring as necessary ASM 323107:
     (a) Do the functional test in Para. 3.B.(2):
  • If the doors and L/G did not operate, do the next step.
   (6) Replace the SAFETY VALVE-L/G SYS ISOLATION [49GA] , AMM 32-31-17-000-001 and AMM 32-31-17-400-001:
  • If the fault continues, do the next step.
   (7) Replace the [41GA] , AMM 32-31-34-000-001 and AMM 32-31-34-400-001:
  • If the fault continues, do the next step.
   (8) Replace the [40GA] AMM 32-31-12-000-001 and AMM 32-31-12-400-001.
   (9) Do the system test of the ADR AMM 34-13-00-740-003:
  • If the test gives a fault message, do the related trouble shooting procedure.
5. Close-up
Subtask 32-31-00-942-050-A
A. Procedure
   (1) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
   (2) Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
