B. Test
(1) If the ECAM WARNING 'LGCIU2 FAULT' is shown after the L/G Free Fall extension has been operated in flight:
(a) Do a reset of LGCIU-2:
2 Wait for a minimum of 15 seconds.
3 Close the circuit breaker CB 2GA.
(c) Do a reset of LGCIU-1:
3 Close the circuit breakers that follow:
(3) From the results of the two tests done in step (2):
(a) If the two operational tests are OK:
4. Fault Isolation(1) If the ECAM WARNING 'LGCIU2 FAULT' is shown after the L/G Free Fall extension has been operated in flight:
- No more maintenance steps are necessary.
NOTE: The ECAM WARNING can be shown with the failure message
'L/G DOORS SEL VALVE 41GA'.
(2) Do an operational test of the L/G doors with the two LGCIUs: 'L/G DOORS SEL VALVE 41GA'.
(a) Do a reset of LGCIU-2:
NOTE: This will make sure LGCIU-1 controls the L/G system.
1 Open the circuit breaker 2GA. 2 Wait for a minimum of 15 seconds.
3 Close the circuit breaker CB 2GA.
NOTE: If the L/G doors are open and do not close (the L/G doors are not in the correct configuration for the operational test) go to step 4.A.(4).
(b) Do an operational test of the L/G doors AMM 32-31-00-710-002. (c) Do a reset of LGCIU-1:
NOTE: This will make sure LGCIU-2 controls the L/G system.
1 Open the circuit breakers that follow: - 1GA
- 52GA.
3 Close the circuit breakers that follow:
- 1GA
- 52GA.
(3) From the results of the two tests done in step (2):
(a) If the two operational tests are OK:
- No more maintenance steps are necessary.
- Make a record of the system in which the fault occurred and do the procedure in Para. 4.A.(1).
- Do the procedure in Para. 4.A.(4).
Subtask 32-31-00-810-058-A
A. Procedure
(1) Interchange the LGCIU-1 [5GA1] with LGCIU-2 [5GA2] , AMM 32-31-71-000-001 and AMM 32-31-71-400-001.
(2) Do the operational tests in Para. 3.B. and make a record of the result:
(a) Do the tests in Para. 3.B.:
(b) Connect together pins C and E, and connect together pins B and F.
(c) Connect one test lead of the TESTER - INSULATION RESISTANCE to the pins C and E and the other test lead to pin D. Do the test again for pins B and F. The resistance value must be more than 400 Megohms.
(6) From the results of the two tests in step (5):
[41GA] , AMM 32-31-34-000-001 and AMM 32-31-34-400-001:
(9) Do the operational tests in Para. 3.B. for the unserviceable system only.
(1) Interchange the LGCIU-1 [5GA1] with LGCIU-2 [5GA2] , AMM 32-31-71-000-001 and AMM 32-31-71-400-001.
(2) Do the operational tests in Para. 3.B. and make a record of the result:
- If the fault stays in the same system, do step (4)
- If the fault moves to the opposite system, do the next step.
(a) Do the tests in Para. 3.B.:
- If the fault continues, do the next step.
- If there is no leak, do the next step.
NOTE: Connector A is in System 1 and connector B is in System 2.
(a) Do a check of the resistance between pins C and E. Do the check again for pins B and F. The resistance must be between 53 ohms and 78 ohms.
- If the two tests are OK, do step (8)
- If a solenoid fails one of the two tests, do the next step.
- If the fault continues, do the next step.
(9) Do the operational tests in Para. 3.B. for the unserviceable system only.
- If the fault continues and the SEL-VALVE-L/G DOORS (41GA) has not been replaced, do step (7) only.
