Subtask 32-10-00-710-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Test
(1) A test is not necessary
(a) If there is a leak from the MLG shock absorber gland housing do the procedure in Para. 4.A.
Subtask 32-10-00-710-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) A test is not necessary
(a) If there is a leak from the MLG shock absorber gland housing do the procedure in Para. 4.A.
A. Test
(1) A test is necessary
(a) If there is a leak from the interface between the sliding tube and the lower bearing gland housing (dynamic seals interface):
4. Fault Isolation(1) A test is necessary
NOTE: It is possible to see signs of oil leakage from the interface between the main fitting and the lower bearing gland housing (static seal area). The fluid loss in this condition is at a very low level but constant rate. It is possible to continue operation of the aircraft with minor oil loss from this area:
- As the conditions detailed in the procedure that follows
Or - As per the instructions provided at aircraft delivery.
NOTE: A major loss of oil in the static seal area would not be consistent with the pre-existing minor oil loss condition.
(2) Clean the lower bearing area as follows: - Wipe clean the full circumference around the lower bearing/main fitting area. Wipe clean the sliding piston, torque links and slave links.
(a) If there is a leak from the interface between the sliding tube and the lower bearing gland housing (dynamic seals interface):
- Do Para 4.A. step (1).
- Do Para 4.A. step (1).
- No sign of more leakage
Or - Signs of minor oil leakage from the interface between the main fitting and the lower bearing gland housing (static seals area), then do the steps that follow:
- Do Para 4.A step (2) in less than 3 months.
- Do Para 4.A step (2) in less than 10 days.
- Do Para 4.A step (2) and contact AIRBUS for more information.
Subtask 32-10-00-810-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Procedure
(1) Isolate the MLG lower gland seal and activate the upper gland seal AMM 32-11-13-860-001
Subtask 32-10-00-810-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Isolate the MLG lower gland seal and activate the upper gland seal AMM 32-11-13-860-001
A. Procedure
(1) Isolate the MLG lower gland seal and activate the upper gland seal AMM 32-11-13-860-001
(2) If signs of minor oil leakage is observed from the interface between the main fitting and the lower bearing gland housing (static seals area):
(1) Isolate the MLG lower gland seal and activate the upper gland seal AMM 32-11-13-860-001
(2) If signs of minor oil leakage is observed from the interface between the main fitting and the lower bearing gland housing (static seals area):
- Do a MLG Shock Absorber Leak Rate Confirmation Check AMM 32-11-13-860-802.
