3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 31-63-82-740-101-A
A. Test
Do the BITE test of the radio altimeter 1 AMM 34-42-00-740-002.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 31-63-82-810-169-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test gives the maintenance message DMC1(1WT1)/RA1(2SA1)
  • Do the switching of the RA 1 to the DMC 3:
    On the switching panel 8VU, set the EIS DMC selector switch to CAPT/3.
  • Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
   (1) If the test is correct:
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • Remove the DMC 1.
  • Do a check and repair the aircraft wiring from the DMC 1 pins AA/5A, 5B to the first terminal block ASM 316201.
  • Install the DMC 1.
   (2) If the test is incorrect:
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • Remove the RA transceiver 1.
  • Do a check and repair the aircraft wiring from the RA transceiver 1 pins AB/2G, 3G to the first terminal block ASM 344201.
  • Install the RA transceiver 1.
Subtask 31-63-82-810-169-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test gives the maintenance message DMC1(1WT1)/RA1(2SA1)
  • Do the switching of the RA 1 to the DMC 3:
    On the switching panel 8VU, set the EIS DMC selector switch to CAPT/3.
  • Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
   (1) If the test is correct:
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • Remove the DMC 1.
  • Do a check and repair the aircraft wiring from the DMC 1 pins AA/7C, 7D to the first terminal block ASM 316201.
  • Install the DMC 1.
   (2) If the test is incorrect:
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • Remove the RA transceiver 1.
  • Do a check and repair the aircraft wiring from the RA transceiver 1 pins AB/2G, 3G to the first terminal block ASM 344201.
  • Install the RA transceiver 1.
