A. Reset the DU
(1) On the CAPT LIGHTING/LOUD SPEAKER control panel (301VU):

turn the PFD potentiometer to the OFF position then to the BRT middle position. If the DISPLAY SYSTEM VERSION INCONSISTENCY message is not shown on the CAPT PFD DU
no maintenance action is necessary.

(a) If the DISPLAY SYSTEM VERSION INCONSISTENCY message is shown on the CAPT PFD DU

do the following test.

Do the EIS System Test AMM 31-60-00-740-004

4. Fault Isolation

A. If the test gives the maintenance message INVALID LRU IDENT:

Do the LRU Identification Check AMM 31-60-00-740-011

(1) Make sure that the EIS software P/N of the CAPT PFD DU is the same as the EIS software P/N on the microdisk that is in the storage box.
(a) If the part numbers are the same:

replace the PFD-CAPT [2WT1] AMM 31-63-22-000-001 AMM 31-63-22-400-001

(b) If the part numbers are not the same:

do the crossloading of the DMC1 to the CAPT PFD DU AMM 31-60-00-610-001

B. Do the test given in Para. 3.A
