4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 31-63-81-810-087-A
A. If the EIS DMC selector switch (18WT) on the panel 8VU is at CAPT/3 and the test gives the maintenance message DMC3 : ALT DSPLY ERR MSG:
  • on the panel 301VU, push the CAPT PFD/ND XFR pushbutton switch (9WT1)
  • do the test given in Para. 3.
   (1) If this test gives the maintenance message DMC3 : ALT DSPLY ERR:
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • do a check of the wiring from the DMC3 (1WT3) to the DMC1 (1WT1):
    . pins AB/9B, 9C to pins AB/10J, 10H
    . pins AB/9D, 9E to pins AB/10F, 10G ASM 316104.
       1 If there is no continuity:
  • repair the wiring.
       2 If there is continuity:
  • do a check of the wiring from DMC1 (1WT1) pins AB/10B, 10C to the first terminal block ASM 316104.
         a If there is no continuity:
  • repair the wiring.
         b If there is continuity:
  • do a check and repair the wiring from DMC1 (1WT1) pins AB/10D, 10E to the first terminal block ASM 316104.
   (2) If this test gives no maintenance message:
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • do a check of the wiring from CAPT PFD (2WT1) pins AA/21, 22 to the first terminal block ASM 316104.
       1 If there is no continuity:
  • repair the wiring.
       2 If there is continuity:
  • do a check and repair the wiring from CAPT PFD (2WT1) pins AA/23, 24 to the first terminal block ASM 316104.

B. If the EIS DMC selector switch (18WT) on the panel 8VU is at F/O/3 and the test gives the maintenance message DMC3 : ALT DSPLY ERR MSG:
  • on the panel 500VU, push the F/O PFD/ND XFR pushbutton switch (9WT2)
  • do the test given in Para. 3.
   (1) If this test gives the maintenance message DMC3 : ALT DSPLY ERR:
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • do a check of the wiring from the DMC3 (1WT3) to the DMC2 (1WT2):
    . pins AB/9B, 9C to pins AB/10J, 10H
    . pins AB/9D, 9E to pins AB/10F, 10G ASM 316104.
       1 If there is no continuity:
  • repair the wiring.
       2 If there is continuity:
  • do a check of the wiring from DMC2 (1WT2) pins AB/10B, 10C to the first terminal block ASM 316104.
         a If there is no continuity:
  • repair the wiring.
         b If there is continuity:
  • do a check and repair the wiring from DMC2 (1WT2) pins AB/10D, 10E to the first terminal block ASM 316104.
   (2) If this test gives no maintenance message:
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • do a check of the wiring from F/O PFD (2WT2) pins AA/21, 22 to the first terminal block ASM 316104.
       1 If there is no continuity:
  • repair the wiring.
       2 If there is continuity:
  • do a check and repair the wiring from F/O PFD (2WT2) pins AA/23, 24 to the first terminal block ASM 316104.
