TASK 31-54-00-810-925-A
Unwanted Tripping of a Circuit Breaker on the Overhead C/B Panel

1. Possible Causes
  • SDAC-1 [1WV1]
  • SDAC-2 [1WV2]
  • wiring
  • circuit breaker
2. Job Set-up Information
 A. Referenced Information
REFERENCE
DESIGNATION
ASM 315402
ASM 315406
AMM 31-55-34-000-001
Removal of the SDAC
AMM 31-55-34-400-001
Installation of the SDAC

EIS Start Procedure
AMM 31-60-00-860-002
EIS Stop Procedure
3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 31-54-00-860-057-A
A. Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) AMM 31-60-00-860-001.
Subtask 31-54-00-710-284-A
B. Make sure that the ECAM warning C/B TRIPPED ON OVHD PNL is shown on the upper ECAM DU.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 31-54-00-865-141-A
A. Table of the circuit breakers used in this procedure:
PANELDESIGNATIONFINLOCATION
** ON A/C ALL

Subtask 31-54-00-810-174-A
B. If the upper ECAM DU gives the ECAM warning C/B TRIPPED ON OVHD PNL:
  • do a check of the status of the circuit breakers on the overhead C/B panel (49VU).
   (1) If all the circuit breakers are closed:
     (a) Open the circuit breaker SDAC/1/SPLY (3WV).
1 If the ECAM warning C/B TRIPPED ON OVHD PNL goes out of view:
2 If the ECAM warning C/B TRIPPED ON OVHD PNL stays in view:
  • do the actions given in Para. 4.B.(1)(b).
     (b) Open the circuit breaker EIS/SDAC/2/SPLY (2WV).
1 If the ECAM warning C/B TRIPPED ON OVHD PNL goes out of view:
2 If the ECAM warning C/B TRIPPED ON OVHD PNL stays in view:
  • do a check and repair the wiring ASM 315402:
. from SDAC1 (1WV1) connector AD/12A to the first terminal block.
. from SDAC2 (1WV2) connector AD/12A to the first terminal block.
         a If the fault continues:
  • do a check for a grounded circuit breaker .
  • replace the grounded circuit breaker.
   (2) If one circuit breaker or more are open:
NOTE: On the ground, you must not close a tripped circuit breaker without trouble shooting of the related system.
     (a) Do an isolation check of the wiring between the circuit breaker and the related system ASM 315406:
1 If there is an isolation fault:
  • repair the wiring between the circuit breaker and the related system.
  • Close the tripped circuit breaker(s).
Subtask 31-54-00-860-063-A
C. Test
   (1) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) AMM 31-60-00-860-001.
   (2) Make sure that the ECAM warning is out of view.
   (3) Do the EIS stop procedure AMM 31-60-00-860-002.
