Loss of the Rain Repellent Fluid (F/O)
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
1. Possible Causes- spray nozzle
- SOL VALVE-RAIN RPLNT, F/O [3DB2]
P/BSW-RAIN RPLNT, F/O (2DB2) wiring from the F/O solenoid valve (3DB2) pin A/B to the ground terminal wiring from the F/O solenoid valve (3DB2) to the relay (10KS1) - RELAY-OIL LOW PRESS AND GROUND, ENG 1 [10KS1]
- RELAY-OIL LOW PRESS AND GROUND, ENG 2 [10KS2]
wiring between the F/O solenoid valve (3DB2) pin A/A and the circuit breaker (1DB2) - C/B-ANTI ICE/RAIN/RPLNT/F/O [1DB2]

B. If the test confirms the fault:
(a) Do a check of the nitrogen pressure of the rain-repellent fluid can:
1 Do a check of the fluid gage of the rain-repellent fluid can:
a When you do the functional test of the rain repellent system and the compressed air does not come out through the F/O spray nozzle:
Subtask 30-45-00-720-061-A - do a check of the status of the circuit breaker (1DB2).
(a) Do a check of the nitrogen pressure of the rain-repellent fluid can:
- if the pointer is in the yellow band, replace the can AMM 30-45-00-600-001.
1 Do a check of the fluid gage of the rain-repellent fluid can:
- if the REFILL float is visible, replace the can.
- press the F/O RAIN RPLNT pushbutton switch and do a check for 28VDC at pin A/A of the F/O solenoid valve (3DB2).
a When you do the functional test of the rain repellent system and the compressed air does not come out through the F/O spray nozzle:
- Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) is in position.
- Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-Rain Repellent System remover - - (Material No.08BFA1) and clean the F/O spray nozzle.
- Make sure that the four holes of the F/O spray nozzle are not clogged.
* If one or more of the four holes of the F/O spray nozzle is (are) clogged:
** Use an applicable NEEDLE to remove the contamination from the holes(s). - If the fault continues:
* Replace the F/O spray nozzle AMM 30-45-44-000-001 and AMM 30-45-44-400-001.
- Replace the SOL VALVE-RAIN RPLNT, F/O [3DB2] AMM 30-45-41-000-001 and AMM 30-45-41-400-001.
- do a check for 28VDC at pin 1 of the F/O RAIN RPLNT pushbutton switch.
- Replace the
P/BSW-RAIN RPLNT, F/O (2DB2) .
- do a check for a ground signal at pin A/D and pin A/C of the F/O solenoid valve (3DB2) ASM 304501.
. If there is a ground signal:
* repair thewiring from the F/O solenoid valve (3DB2) pin A/B to the ground terminal and thewiring from the F/O solenoid valve (3DB2) to the relay (10KS1) , pin A/D to pin 8.
. If the fault continues:
* Replace the RELAY-OIL LOW PRESS AND GROUND, ENG 1 [10KS1] and/or the RELAY-OIL LOW PRESS AND GROUND, ENG 2 [10KS2] .
. If there is a ground signal: * do a check of thewiring between the F/O solenoid valve (3DB2) pin A/A and the circuit breaker (1DB2) .
** If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
** If there is continuity, replace the circuit breaker (1DB2).
- Do the procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 24-00-00-810-803).
- Replace the C/B-ANTI ICE/RAIN/RPLNT/F/O [1DB2] .
- Replace the SOL VALVE-RAIN RPLNT, F/O [3DB2] .
C. Do the test given in Para. 3.
