B. If the test confirms the fault:
(a) Do a check of the nitrogen pressure of the rain-repellent fluid can:
1 Do a check of the fluid gage of the rain-repellent fluid can:
a When you do the functional test of the rain repellent system and the compressed air does not come out through the CAPT spray nozzle:
Subtask 30-45-00-720-059-A - do a check of the status of the circuit breaker (1DB1).
(a) Do a check of the nitrogen pressure of the rain-repellent fluid can:
- if the pointer is in the yellow band, replace the can AMM 30-45-00-600-001.
1 Do a check of the fluid gage of the rain-repellent fluid can:
- if the REFILL float is visible, replace the can.
- press the CAPT RAIN RPLNT pushbutton switch and do a check for 28VDC at pin A/A of the CAPT solenoid valve (3DB1).
a When you do the functional test of the rain repellent system and the compressed air does not come out through the CAPT spray nozzle:
- Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) is in position.
- Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-Rain Repellent System remover - - (Material No.08BFA1) and clean the CAPT spray nozzle.
- Make sure that the four holes of the CAPT spray nozzle are not clogged:
* If one or more of the four holes of the CAPT spray nozzle is (are) clogged:
** Use an applicable NEEDLE to remove the contamination from the hole(s). - If the fault continues:
* Replace the CAPT spray nozzle AMM 30-45-44-000-001 and AMM 30-45-44-400-001.
- Replace the SOL VALVE-RAIN RPLNT, CAPT [3DB1] AMM 30-45-41-000-001 and AMM 30-45-41-400-001.
- do a check for 28VDC at pin 1 of the CAPT RAIN RPLNT pushbutton switch.
- Replace the
P/BSW-RAIN RPLNT, CAPT (2DB1) .
- do a check for a ground signal at pin A/D and pin A/C of the CAPT solenoid valve (3DB1) ASM 304501.
If there is no ground signal:
* repair thewiring from the CAPT solenoid valve (3DB1) pin A/B to the ground terminal and thewiring from the CAPT solenoid valve (3DB1) to the relay (11KS2) , pin A/D to pin 4.
If the fault continues:
* Replace the RELAY-OIL LOW PRESS AND GROUND, ENG 1 [11KS1] and/or theRELAY-OIL LOW PRESS AND GROUND, ENG2 (11KS2)
If there is a ground signal:
* do a check of thewiring between the CAPT solenoid valve (3DB1) pin A/A and the circuit breaker (1DB1) .
** If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
** If there is continuity, replace the circuit breaker (1DB1).
- Do the procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 24-00-00-810-803).
- Replace the C/B-ANTI ICE/RAIN/RPLNT/CAPT [1DB1] .
- Replace the SOL VALVE-RAIN RPLNT, CAPT [3DB1] .
C. Do the test given in Para. 3.
