Failure of the Angle of Attack Sensor (PHC 2)
1. Possible Causes
- SENSOR-ANGLE OF ATTACK, 2 [3FP2]
- PHC-2 [6DA2]
wiring from the PHC 2 (6DA2) to the angle of attack sensor 2 (3FP2) - wiring
- ADIRU-2 [1FP2]

Subtask 30-31-00-710-086-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Test
(1) Do the functional test of the heating of the angle of attack sensor AMM 30-31-00-710-007.
Subtask 30-31-00-710-086-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do the functional test of the heating of the angle of attack sensor AMM 30-31-00-710-007.
A. Test
(1) Do the functional test of the heating of the angle of attack sensor AMM 30-31-00-710-802.
4. Fault Isolation(1) Do the functional test of the heating of the angle of attack sensor AMM 30-31-00-710-802.
Subtask 30-31-00-810-068-B
A. If the measured in-rush current is less than 1.3A during approximately 30 seconds or more than 9A during approximately 10 seconds:
(1) Replace the SENSOR-ANGLE OF ATTACK, 2 [3FP2] , AMM 34-11-19-000-001 and AMM 34-11-19-400-001.
Subtask 30-31-00-810-127-B (1) Replace the SENSOR-ANGLE OF ATTACK, 2 [3FP2] , AMM 34-11-19-000-001 and AMM 34-11-19-400-001.
B. If none of the results recorded is less than 1.3A or more than 9A:
(1) Replace the PHC-2 [6DA2] , AMM 30-31-34-000-002 and AMM 30-31-34-400-002.
(2) If the fault continues:
(a) Disconnect connector A from PHC 2 and remove ADIRU 2 AMM 34-12-34-000-001.
(b) Do a check of the probe signal wiring ASM 341302 between PHC 2 pin A/Z and ADIRU 2 pin AA/3J.
1 If there is no continuity:
Subtask 30-31-00-710-087-A (1) Replace the PHC-2 [6DA2] , AMM 30-31-34-000-002 and AMM 30-31-34-400-002.
(2) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the
wiring from the PHC 2 (6DA2) to the angle of attack sensor 2 (3FP2) , pin A/F to pin A/<J ASM 303101.
- Repair the wiring and
- Install ADIRU 2 AMM 34-12-34-400-001.
- Replace ADIRU-2 [1FP2] AMM 34-12-34-400-001.
