Continuous Operation of the Yellow Electric Pump After Cargo Door Operation
NOTE: The Yellow Electric Pump will run for 10 seconds after the end of the Cargo Door Operation request. Continuous operation is considered after this period.
1. Possible Causes- RELAY-TIME [6MJ]
- C/B-DOORS/CARGO [1MJ]
- MAN SEL VALVE-FWD CARGO DOOR [2501MJ]
- MAN SEL VALVE-AFT CARGO DOOR [2504MJ]
- LGCIU-2 [5GA2]

A. Aircraft Configuration
4. Fault Isolation- On the upper ECAM DU, look for the HYD Y SYS LO PR.
- On the HYD page of the lower ECAM DU, look for the normal pressure for the Yellow system (approximately 3000 psi).
- The Yellow Electric Pump operates continuously.
Subtask 29-24-00-810-052-A
A. If the Fault Confirms:
(1) Do a check a continuity between Pins A A2 and A A3 of the RELAY-TIME [6MJ] and no continuity between Pins A A2 and A A1 of the RELAY-TIME [6MJ] .
(a) If the result is not correct, replace the RELAY-TIME [6MJ] .
(b) If the result is correct, do the next step.
(2) Open the C/B-DOORS/CARGO [1MJ] ASM 523501.
(a) If the Yellow Electric Pump does not stop to operate, replace the RELAY-TIME [6MJ] .
(b) If the Yellow Electric Pump stops to operate, do the next step.
(3) Make sure that the selector of the MAN SEL VALVE-FWD CARGO DOOR [2501MJ] and MAN SEL VALVE-AFT CARGO DOOR [2504MJ] are in the NEUTRAL position.
(a) If the selectors are not in the NEUTRAL position:
1 Put the selectors manually in the NEUTRAL position to stop the operation of the Yellow Electric Pump.
a If the Yellow Electric Pump stops to operate:
Subtask 29-24-00-710-055-A (1) Do a check a continuity between Pins A A2 and A A3 of the RELAY-TIME [6MJ] and no continuity between Pins A A2 and A A1 of the RELAY-TIME [6MJ] .
(a) If the result is not correct, replace the RELAY-TIME [6MJ] .
(b) If the result is correct, do the next step.
(2) Open the C/B-DOORS/CARGO [1MJ] ASM 523501.
(a) If the Yellow Electric Pump does not stop to operate, replace the RELAY-TIME [6MJ] .
(b) If the Yellow Electric Pump stops to operate, do the next step.
(3) Make sure that the selector of the MAN SEL VALVE-FWD CARGO DOOR [2501MJ] and MAN SEL VALVE-AFT CARGO DOOR [2504MJ] are in the NEUTRAL position.
(a) If the selectors are not in the NEUTRAL position:
1 Put the selectors manually in the NEUTRAL position to stop the operation of the Yellow Electric Pump.
a If the Yellow Electric Pump stops to operate:
- Replace the MAN SEL VALVE-FWD CARGO DOOR [2501MJ] and MAN SEL VALVE-AFT CARGO DOOR [2504MJ] AMM 52-36-15-000-001 and AMM 52-36-15-400-001.
- Replace the LGCIU-2 [5GA2] AMM 32-31-71-000-001 and AMM 32-31-71-400-001.
NOTE: If the CFDS fault message ATA 29-32-12 AFS: HYD Y 3151GN comes into view, ignore it, because it has no relation to this failure.
B. Do the test "Open and Close the Cargo-Compartment Door with the Yellow Electric Pump" AMM 52-30-00-860-001 and AMM 52-30-00-860-002 to make sure that the operation is correct.
