3. Fault Confirmation

A. Do the ADIRS start procedure AMM 34-10-00-860-002.
NOTE: If the ADIRUs are not switched on it will cause the Class 3 fault message, NO DATA FROM ADIRU1(2) to be shown.
This is because in the preferred mode of FQIC operation, it uses accelerations data (for pitch and roll) supplied by the ADIRUs.
   (1) On the Multipurpose Control and Display Unit (MCDU), get access to the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST Menu page AMM 31-32-00-860-001.
   (2) Push (in) the line key adjacent to FUEL indication.
   (3) Push (in) the line key adjacent to FQIS STATUS indication.
   (4) If the message NO DATA FROM ADIRU1(2) is shown, do the fault isolation.
NOTE: OPTIONAL TESTING
Where an ARINC reader and test connectors are available, the ARINC data can be checked at:
  • the Test Connector 198VC (188VU) on the rack 80VC
  • the FQIC 3QT rack connector.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 28-42-00-810-096-A
A. Temporarily replace the FQIC 3QT with a serviceable item AMM 28-42-34-000-001 and AMM 28-42-34-400-001.
NOTE: It is important to make sure that the FQIC is serviceable before you start more steps.
   (1) If the message NO DATA FROM ADIRU1(2) is not shown:
   (2) If the message NO DATA FROM ADIRU1(2) is shown:
   (3) Replace the ADIRU-1 [1FP1] or ( ADIRU-2 [1FP2] ), AMM 34-12-34-000-001 and AMM 34-12-34-400-001.
   (4) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
   (5) If the fault continues:
  • do a check on the aircraft wiring data link between the ADIRU1(2)(1FP1(2)) and the FQIC (3QT) ASM 284204.
   (6) Repair/replace all the unserviceable wiring and connectors.
   (7) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
