NOTE: If the fault appears at electrical power up, do first the TSM task 27-93-00-810-964 (ELAC Fault at Electrical Power Up) for:

Subtask 27-93-00-860-100-A
A. Side Stick Identification
   (1) Do the identification of the side stick installed on the aircraft AMM 27-92-41-860-801.
Subtask 27-93-00-860-082-A
B. Job Set-Up
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits AMM 24-41-00-861-002.
   (2) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized.
   (3) On the overhead panel 23VU:
  • release the FLT CTL/ELAC 1 pushbutton switch (the OFF legend of the FLT CTL/ELAC1 pushbutton switch comes on).
   (4) On the overhead panel 23VU:
  • push the FLT CTL/ELAC 1 pushbutton switch (the OFF legend of the FLT CTL/ELAC1 pushbutton switch goes off).
NOTE: In case of a reset of the ELAC 1 with the circuit breaker, the supply breaking must be more than 5 seconds.
NOTE: If the ELAC FAULT warning disappears after several resets, replace the computer.
Subtask 27-93-00-740-174-A
C. Test
   (1) Do the BITE test of the EFCS (Ground Scanning) AMM 27-96-00-740-001.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 27-93-00-810-291-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
  • Do the operational test of the ELACs AMM 27-93-00-710-001 to make sure that ELAC1 operates its associated surfaces.
   (1) If the flight controls move according to the ELAC1 servoing:
     (a) Remove ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-000-001.
     (b) At ELAC1 receptacle, do a check of the resistance between pin AB/11J and pin AE/14C ASM 279203.
       1 If the resistance is less than 280 ohms:
         a Remove the relay (40CE1) AIPC 27920803.
         b Do a check of the resistance of the relay between pin X1 and pin X2 ASM 279203.
       2 If the resistance is more than 400 ohms:
         a Remove the relay (40CE1) AIPC 27920803.
         b Do a check of the resistance of the relay between pins X1 and X2 ASM 279203.
       3 If the resistance is between 280 and 400 ohms:
         a Remove FCDC1 AMM 27-95-34-000-001.
         b Remove FCDC2 AMM 27-95-34-000-001.
         c Remove the relay (40CE1) AIPC 27920803.
  • If the warning ELAC1 stays in view:
    . Install the relay (40CE1) AIPC 27920803.
    . Continue the trouble shooting at Para. d_.
  • If the warning ELAC1 goes out of view, replace the RELAY-ELAC 1 ANN SPLY [40CE1] AIPC 27920803.
  • Install ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
         d Do a check and repair the wiring of the DSI 4/1 (ELAC1 FAILED) signals from FCDC1 (3CE1) and FCDC2 (3CE2) to the relay (40CE1) ASM 279504 and ASM 279505.
         e Install ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
   (2) If the flight controls do not move according to the ELAC1 servoing:
     (a) Replace ELAC-1 [2CE1] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
     (b) If the fault continues:
       1 Do a check of the P/N of the FCDC installed on the aircraft:
         a If the P/N of the FCDC is 115370-0105 or 115370-0106 or 115370-1016 or 115370-1216:
         b If the P/N of the FCDC is different from 115370-0105 or 115370-0106 or 115370-1016 or 115370-1216:
  • Continue the trouble shooting at paragraph 4.A.(2)(c).
     (c) Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 31-32-00-810-932) related to the DSO 06 discrete output signal of ELAC1 ASM 279249.

Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 31-32-00-810-934) related to the DGO 01 digital output signal of ELAC1 ASM 279250.
     (d) If the fault continues:
       1 Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 01 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part (DGI 09) and the MON part (DGO 01) to the COM part (DGI 09) ASM 279250.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       2 Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 04 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part (DGI 01) and the MON part (DGO 04) to the COM part (DGI 01) ASM 279250.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       3 Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 05 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part to the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part (DGI 15) ASM 279252.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       4 Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 05 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) MON part to the ELAC1 (2CE1) MON part (DGI 15) ASM 279252.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       5 Do a check of the wiring of the DGI 04 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) MON part to the COM part ASM 279250.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       6 Do a check of the wiring of the DGI 05 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) MON part to the COM part ASM 279250.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       7 Do a check of the wiring of the DSO 06 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part (DSI 48) and the MON part (DSO 06) to the COM part (DSI 48) ASM 279249.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       8 Do a check of the wiring of the ELAC DECONNECTED IN THE RACK signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279240.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       9 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 06 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279232.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       10 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 09 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279232.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       11 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 07 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279244.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       12 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 10 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279244.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       13 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 13 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279244.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       14 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 17 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279244.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       15 Do a check of the wiring of the PIN PROGRAM ELAC1 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279240.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       16 Replace the SSTU-ROLL CTL, CAPT [4CE1] and SSTU-ROLL CTL, F/O [4CE2] or the SSU-CAPT (100CE1) and SSU-F/O (100CE2) (if a new-generation side-stick unit is installed on the aircraft) AMM 27-92-41-000-002 and AMM 27-92-41-400-002 or AMM 27-92-41-000-802 and AMM 27-92-41-400-802.
     (e) If the fault continues:
       1 Do a check of the wiring of the PWR SPLY + 28VDC signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the first terminal block ASM 279202.
  • If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
  • If there is continuity, continue the procedure.
       2 Do a check of the wiring of the PWR SPLY GND signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279202.
  • If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
  • If there is continuity, continue the procedure.
       3 Do a check of the wiring of the CTL + 28VDC and ELAC1 ENGAGED (DSI 50) signals from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the pushbutton switch (6CE1) ASM 279202.
  • If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
  • If there is continuity, continue the procedure.
       4 Do a check of the wiring from the pushbutton switch (6CE1) pin A/C3 to the first terminal block ASM 279202.
  • If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
  • If there is continuity, continue the procedure.
       5 Replace the P/BSW-FLT CTL/ELAC 1 (6CE1) AIPC 27920802.
Subtask 27-93-00-810-291-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
  • Do the operational test of the ELACs AMM 27-93-00-710-001 to make sure that ELAC1 operates its associated surfaces.
   (1) If the flight controls move according to the ELAC1 servoing:
     (a) Remove ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-000-001.

    . Install the relay (40CE1) AIPC 27920803.
    . Continue the trouble shooting at Para. d_.
  • If the warning ELAC1 goes out of view, replace the RELAY-ELAC 1 ANN SPLY [40CE1] AIPC 27920803.
  • Install ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
         d Do a check and repair the wiring of the DSI 4/1 (ELAC1 FAILED) signals from FCDC1 (3CE1) and FCDC2 (3CE2) to the relay (40CE1) ASM 279504 and ASM 279505.
         e Install ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
   (2) If the flight controls do not move according to the ELAC1 servoing:
     (a) Replace ELAC-1 [2CE1] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
     (b) If the fault continues:
       1 Do a check of the P/N of the FCDC installed on the aircraft:
         a If the P/N of the FCDC is 115370-0105 or 115370-0106 or 115370-1016 or 115370-1216:
         b If the P/N of the FCDC is different from 115370-0105 or 115370-0106 or 115370-1016 or 115370-1216:
  • Continue the trouble shooting at paragraph 4.A.(2)(c).
     (c) Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 31-32-00-810-932) related to the DSO 06 discrete output signal of ELAC1 ASM 279249.

Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 31-32-00-810-934) related to the DGO 01 digital output signal of ELAC1 ASM 279250.
     (d) If the fault continues:
       1 Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 01 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part (DGI 09) and the MON part (DGO 01) to the COM part (DGI 09) ASM 279250.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       2 Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 04 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part (DGI 01) and the MON part (DGO 04) to the COM part (DGI 01) ASM 279250.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       3 Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 05 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part to the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part (DGI 15) ASM 279252.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       4 Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 05 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) MON part to the ELAC1 (2CE1) MON part (DGI 15) ASM 279252.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       5 Do a check of the wiring of the DGI 04 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) MON part to the COM part ASM 279250.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       6 Do a check of the wiring of the DGI 05 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) MON part to the COM part ASM 279250.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       7 Do a check of the wiring of the DSO 06 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part (DSI 48) and the MON part (DSO 06) to the COM part (DSI 48) ASM 279249.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       8 Do a check of the wiring of the ELAC DECONNECTED IN THE RACK signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279240.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       9 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 06 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279232.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       10 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 09 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279232.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       11 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 07 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279244.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       12 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 10 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279244.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       13 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 13 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279244.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       14 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 17 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279244.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       15 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 20 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279240.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       16 Do a check of the wiring of the PIN PROGRAM ELAC1 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279240.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       17 Replace the SSTU-ROLL CTL, CAPT [4CE1] and SSTU-ROLL CTL, F/O [4CE2] or the SSU-CAPT (100CE1) and SSU-F/O (100CE2) (if a new-generation side-stick unit is installed on the aircraft) AMM 27-92-41-000-002 and AMM 27-92-41-400-002 or AMM 27-92-41-000-802 and AMM 27-92-41-400-802.
     (e) If the fault continues:
       1 Do a check of the wiring of the PWR SPLY + 28VDC signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the first terminal block ASM 279202.
  • If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
  • If there is continuity, continue the procedure.
       2 Do a check of the wiring of the PWR SPLY GND signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279202.
  • If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
  • If there is continuity, continue the procedure.
       3 Do a check of the wiring of the CTL + 28VDC and ELAC1 ENGAGED (DSI 50) signals from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the pushbutton switch (6CE1) ASM 279202.
  • If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
  • If there is continuity, continue the procedure.
       4 Do a check of the wiring from the pushbutton switch (6CE1) pin A/C3 to the first terminal block ASM 279202.
  • If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
  • If there is continuity, continue the procedure.
       5 Replace the P/BSW-FLT CTL/ELAC 1 (6CE1) AIPC 27920802.
Subtask 27-93-00-810-291-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
  • Do the operational test of the ELACs AMM 27-93-00-710-001 to make sure that ELAC1 operates its associated surfaces.
   (1) If the flight controls move according to the ELAC1 servoing:
     (a) Remove ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-000-001.
     (b) At ELAC1 receptacle, do a check of the resistance between pin AB/11J and pin AE/14C ASM 279203.

         c Remove the relay (40CE1) AIPC 27920803.
  • If the warning ELAC1 stays in view:
    . Install the relay (40CE1) AIPC 27920803.
    . Continue the trouble shooting at Para. d_.
  • If the warning ELAC1 goes out of view, replace the RELAY-ELAC 1 ANN SPLY [40CE1] AIPC 27920803.
  • Install ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
         d Do a check and repair the wiring of the DSI 4/1 (ELAC1 FAILED) signals from FCDC1 (3CE1) and FCDC2 (3CE2) to the relay (40CE1) ASM 279504 and ASM 279505.
         e Install ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
   (2) If the flight controls do not move according to the ELAC1 servoing:
     (a) Replace ELAC-1 [2CE1] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
     (b) If the fault continues:
       1 Do a check of the P/N of the FCDC installed on the aircraft:
         a If the P/N of the FCDC is 115370-0105 or 115370-0106 or 115370-1016 or 115370-1216:
         b If the P/N of the FCDC is different from 115370-0105 or 115370-0106 or 115370-1016 or 115370-1216:
  • Continue the trouble shooting at paragraph 4.A.(2)(c).
     (c) Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 31-32-00-810-932) related to the DSO 06 discrete output signal of ELAC1 ASM 279249.

Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 31-32-00-810-934) related to the DGO 01 digital output signal of ELAC1 ASM 279250.
     (d) If the fault continues:
       1 Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 01 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part (DGI 09) and the MON part (DGO 01) to the COM part (DGI 09) ASM 279250.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       2 Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 04 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part (DGI 01) and the MON part (DGO 04) to the COM part (DGI 01) ASM 279250.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       3 Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 05 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part to the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part (DGI 15) ASM 279252.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       4 Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 05 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) MON part to the ELAC1 (2CE1) MON part (DGI 15) ASM 279252.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.

       2 Do a check of the wiring of the PWR SPLY GND signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279202.
  • If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
  • If there is continuity, continue the procedure.
       3 Do a check of the wiring of the CTL + 28VDC and ELAC1 ENGAGED (DSI 50) signals from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the pushbutton switch (6CE1) ASM 279202.
  • If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
  • If there is continuity, continue the procedure.
       4 Do a check of the wiring from the pushbutton switch (6CE1) pin A/C3 to the first terminal block ASM 279202.
  • If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
  • If there is continuity, continue the procedure.
       5 Replace the P/BSW-FLT CTL/ELAC 1 (6CE1) AIPC 27920802.
Subtask 27-93-00-810-291-Z ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
  • Do the operational test of the ELACs AMM 27-93-00-710-001 to make sure that ELAC1 operates its associated surfaces.
   (1) If the flight controls move according to the ELAC1 servoing:
     (a) Remove ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-000-001.
     (b) At ELAC1 receptacle, do a check of the resistance between pin AB/11J and pin AE/14C ASM 279203.
       1 If the resistance is less than 280 ohms:
         a Remove the relay (40CE1) AIPC 27920803.
         b Do a check of the resistance of the relay between pin X1 and pin X2 ASM 279203.
       2 If the resistance is more than 400 ohms:
         a Remove the relay (40CE1) AIPC 27920803.
         b Do a check of the resistance of the relay between pins X1 and X2 ASM 279203.
       3 If the resistance is between 280 and 400 ohms:
         a Remove FCDC1 AMM 27-95-34-000-001.
         b Remove FCDC2 AMM 27-95-34-000-001.
         c Remove the relay (40CE1) AIPC 27920803.
  • If the warning ELAC1 stays in view:
    . Install the relay (40CE1) AIPC 27920803.
    . Continue the trouble shooting at Para. d_.
  • If the warning ELAC1 goes out of view, replace the RELAY-ELAC 1 ANN SPLY [40CE1] AIPC 27920803.
  • Install ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
         d Do a check and repair the wiring of the DSI 4/1 (ELAC1 FAILED) signals from FCDC1 (3CE1) and FCDC2 (3CE2) to the relay (40CE1) ASM 279504 and ASM 279505.
         e Install ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
   (2) If the flight controls do not move according to the ELAC1 servoing:
     (a) Replace ELAC-1 [2CE1] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
     (b) If the fault continues:
       1 Do a check of the P/N of the FCDC installed on the aircraft:
         a If the P/N of the FCDC is 115370-0105 or 115370-0106 or 115370-1016 or 115370-1216:
         b If the P/N of the FCDC is different from 115370-0105 or 115370-0106 or 115370-1016 or 115370-1216:
  • Continue the trouble shooting at paragraph 4.A.(2)(c).
     (c) Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 31-32-00-810-932) related to the DSO 06 discrete output signal of ELAC1 ASM 279249.

Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 31-32-00-810-934) related to the DGO 01 digital output signal of ELAC1 ASM 279250.
     (d) If the fault continues:
       1 Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 04 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part (DGI 01) and the MON part (DGO 04) to the COM part (DGI 01) ASM 279250.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       2 Do a check of the wiring of the DGI 04 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) MON part to the COM part ASM 279250.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       3 Do a check of the wiring of the DGI 05 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) MON part to the COM part ASM 279250.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       4 Do a check of the wiring of the DSO 06 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part (DSI 48) and the MON part (DSO 06) to the COM part (DSI 48) ASM 279249.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       5 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 07 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279244.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       6 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 10 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279244.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       7 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 13 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279244.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       8 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 17 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part to the MON part ASM 279244.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       9 Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 47 signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279240.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
       10 Do a check for an open circuit of the wirings of the DSI 20, 22, 39 and 43 signals from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part ASM 279240:
  • For DSI 20: pin AA/5C (COM part) and pin AD/2G (MON part).
  • For DSI 22: pin AB/1A (COM part) and pin AD/3E (MON part).
  • For DSI 39: pin AA/12J (COM part) and pin AD/15E (MON part).
  • For DSI 43: pin AB/6C (COM part) and pin AD/13G (MON part).
  • If the wirings are not correct, repair the above wirings.
  • If the wirings are correct, continue the procedure.
       11 Replace the [4CE1] and [4CE2] or the SSU-CAPT (100CE1) and SSU-F/O (100CE2) (if a new-generation side-stick unit is installed on the aircraft) AMM 27-92-41-000-002 and AMM 27-92-41-400-002 or AMM 27-92-41-000-802 and AMM 27-92-41-400-802.
     (e) If the fault continues:
       1 Do a check of the wiring of the PWR SPLY + 28VDC signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the first terminal block ASM 279202.
  • If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
  • If there is continuity, continue the procedure.
       2 Do a check of the wiring of the PWR SPLY GND signal from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279202.
  • If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
  • If there is continuity, continue the procedure.
       3 Do a check of the wiring of the CTL + 28VDC and ELAC1 ENGAGED (DSI 50) signals from the ELAC1 (2CE1) COM part and the MON part to the pushbutton switch (6CE1) ASM 279202.
  • If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
  • If there is continuity, continue the procedure.
       4 Do a check of the wiring from the pushbutton switch (6CE1) pin A/C3 to the first terminal block ASM 279202.
  • If there is no continuity, repair the above wiring.
  • If there is continuity, continue the procedure.
       5 Replace the P/BSW-FLT CTL/ELAC 1 (6CE1) AIPC 27920802.
