Loss of the IR 2 BUS 3 for the ELAC 1

1. Possible Causes

ELAC-1 [2CE1]
wiring of the DGI 03 signal from the ELAC 1 (2CE1) to the first terminal block
ADIRU-2 [1FP2]
wiring of the INERTIAL REFERENCE OUTPUT BUS 3 from the ADIRU2 (1FP2) to the first terminal block

A. Test
(1) Do the BITE test of the EFCS (ground scanning) AMM 27-96-00-740-001.

Subtask 27-93-00-740-102-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Test
(1) Do a check of the Post Flight Report (PFR)
If the IR2 OR BUS3 TO ELAC1 maintenance message is shown in flight phase 08 (PH08):
(a) On the overhead panel, on the FLT CTL panel 23VU: release, then push the FLT CTL/ELAC1 pushbutton switch.
(b) Make an entry in the logbook to monitor the aircraft during the subsequent flight.
(c) During the subsequent flight:

If the fault occurs again, continue the trouble shooting procedure.

(2) Do the BITE test of the EFCS (ground scanning) AMM 27-96-00-740-001.

4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 27-93-00-810-103-A

A. If the BITE test gives the maintenance message:
IR2 OR BUS3 TO ELAC1
and on the upper ECAM DU, the INOP SYS CAT 3 DUAL warning does not come into view:

replace the ELAC-1 [2CE1] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.

(1) If the fault continues:

do a check and repair the wiring of the DGI 03 signal from the ELAC 1 (2CE1) to the first terminal block, MON part only ASM 279250.

B. If the BITE test gives the maintenance message:
IR2 or BUS3 to ELAC1
and on the upper ECAM DU, the INOP SYS CAT 3 DUAL warning comes into view:

replace the ADIRU-2 [1FP2] AMM 34-12-34-000-001 and AMM 34-12-34-400-001.

(1) If the fault continues:
(a) Remove the ADIRU2.
(b) Do a check of the wiring of the INERTIAL REFERENCE OUTPUT BUS 3 from the ADIRU2 (1FP2) to the first terminal block.
1 If there is no continuity:
a Repair it.
b Install the ADIRU2.
2 If there is continuity:
a Install the ADIRU2.
b Do the trouble shooting procedure that follows (Ref. TSM TASK 31-32-00-810-934).
