Subtask 27-81-00-740-056-A
A. Check
(1) Do a check of the Post Flight Report (PFR) and identify the related wing on which the fault message was recorded.
If you cannot identify the wing, do the procedure on each wing.
Usually you cannot confirm this fault on the ground.
4. Fault Isolation(1) Do a check of the Post Flight Report (PFR) and identify the related wing on which the fault message was recorded.
If you cannot identify the wing, do the procedure on each wing.
Usually you cannot confirm this fault on the ground.
Subtask 27-81-00-810-064-A
A. Procedure
(1) Do the wing tip brake (WTB) reset procedure,
but do not reset the torque limiter(s) at this time AMM 27-80-00-869-004.
(2) Do the operational test of the slat system, AMM 27-84-00-710-001.
(a) If a SLATS LOCKED is monitored:
(3) Do the detailed visual inspection of the slat transmission system AMM 27-84-00-200-001. Repair/correct any defect found.
(a) After the repair/replacement:
(a) If a tripped torque limiter was found:
Examine the related drive station, AMM 27-84-00-210-001. If necessary lubricate the items which were cleaned before for inspection, AMM 12-22-27-640-006.
(b) If you find a fault, correct or repair as necessary. Refer to AMM 27-8X-XX for the applicable repair, or removal and installation procedures.
(c) If you find no fault, replace the slat actuators which have a tripped torque limiter:
For the actuator type A:
For the actuator type B:
Move the slats, AMM 27-80-00-866-004 and AMM 27-80-00-866-005.
(a) While the flaps move, do a check for incorrect noise at the WTB.
(b) If there is an incorrect noise at the WTB, replace the WING TIP BRAKE [35CV] or WING TIP BRAKE [36CV] ,
AMM 27-81-51-000-001 and AMM 27-81-51-400-001.
(c) If there is no incorrect noise at the WTB, disconnect the transmission shafts on each side of the WTB (Ref. see above).
(d) Make sure that the WTB turns easily, if it does not turn easily, replace the WTB (Ref. see above).
(7) If the fault continues: Remove each transmission shaft, one at a time to do a check for friction in each component of the slat system, (Ref. AMM chap. 27, removal and installation procedures).
(a) If you find a fault, correct or repair as necessary. Refer to the AMM 27-8X-XX for the applicable repair, or removal and installation procedures.
(b) Make sure that you install all components which were removed.
5. Close-up(1) Do the wing tip brake (WTB) reset procedure,
but do not reset the torque limiter(s) at this time AMM 27-80-00-869-004.
(2) Do the operational test of the slat system, AMM 27-84-00-710-001.
(a) If a SLATS LOCKED is monitored:
- Go to the Slat System Status of SFCC 1 or 2.
- Find if a SLAT TRANSMISSION RUNAWAY or ASYMMETERY shows.
- Do the WTB reset procedure again (Ref. step (1), but also do not reset the torque limiter(s) at this time).
- Continue with step 4.A.(3).
(3) Do the detailed visual inspection of the slat transmission system AMM 27-84-00-200-001. Repair/correct any defect found.
(a) After the repair/replacement:
- Do the reset of the torque limiter(s) AMM 27-80-00-866-006.
- Do the operational test of the slat system, AMM 27-84-00-710-001.
- Make sure that the slat system is serviceable and make sure that there are no fault messages.

For the actuator type A:
- SLAT ACTUATOR TYPE A [6013CM]
- SLAT ACTUATOR TYPE A [6015CM]
- SLAT ACTUATOR TYPE A [6063CM]
