A. Job Set-Up
   (1) Make sure that, on the overhead panel 23VU, the pushbutton of the FLT CTL/ELAC1 is pushed (on the pushbutton switch, the OFF legend of the FLT CTL/ELAC1 is off).
   (2) Make sure that, on the overhead panel 24VU, the pushbutton of the FLT CTL/ELAC2 is pushed (on the pushbutton switch, the OFF legend of the FLT CTL/ELAC2 is off).
   (3) Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
AMM 29-10-00-864-003, AMM 29-23-00-864-001 and AMM 29-24-00-864-001.
   (4) Pressurize the aircraft hydraulic systems
AMM 29-10-00-863-003, AMM 29-23-00-863-001 and AMM 29-24-00-863-001.
     (a) Wait for one minute.
Subtask 27-10-00-740-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Test
   (1) Do the BITE test of the EFCS (ground scanning) AMM 27-96-00-740-001.
Subtask 27-10-00-740-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Test
   (1) Do the BITE test of the EFCS (ground scanning) AMM 27-96-00-740-001.
NOTE: Because the reset of the FLT CTL/ELAC2 can modify the maintenance message given by the BITE test of the EFCS (ground scanning), you must not reset the FLT CLT/ELAC2 before you do the BITE test of the EFCS (ground scanning).
     (a) If the ground scanning gives the maintenance message:
L B AIL MODE VLV 33CE3
  • refer to Para. Fault Isolation.
     (b) If the ground scanning gives the maintenance message:
L G AIL MODE VLV 33CE1
1 Do this trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 27-10-00-810-818).
2 If you did a reset of the FLT CTL/ELAC2 before the BITE test of the EFCS, the ground scanning can give the maintenance message:
L B AIL MODE VLV 33CE3.
Subtask 27-10-00-860-061-A
C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Depressurize the aircraft hydraulic systems AMM 29-10-00-864-003, AMM 29-23-00-864-001 and AMM 29-24-00-864-001.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 27-10-00-810-059-A
A. If the test gives the maintenance message:
L B AIL MODE VLV 33CE3
   (1) Remove the ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-000-001.
   (2) At the ELAC1 receptacle, do a check of the resistance between pin AA/7G and pin AD/10C ASM 279302.
NOTE: The resistance must be between 40 and 100 Ohms.
     (a) If the resistance is less than 40 Ohms:
  • at the outboard aileron servocontrol (33CE3), do a check of the resistance of the solenoid valve between pin A/H and pin A/T ASM 279302.
NOTE: The resistance must be between 40 and 100 Ohms.
1 If the resistance values are out of the specified limits:
a Replace the solenoid valve of the aileron servo control (33CE3), AMM 27-14-51-000-004 and AMM 27-14-51-400-004.
b Do again a check of the resistance of the solenoid valve between pin A/H and pin A/T of the outboard aileron servocontrol (33CE3) (40 to 100 Ohms).
2 If the resistance values are in the specified limits:
a Repair the wiring of the SOL VLV signal from the servo control (33CE3) to the ELAC1 (2CE1), ASM 279302.
         b Replace the ELAC-1 [2CE1] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
     (b) If the resistance is more than 100 Ohms:
2 If the resistance values are in the specified limits:
a Repair the wiring of the SOL VLV signal from the servo control (33CE3) to the ELAC1 (2CE1) ASM 279302.
         b Install the ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
     (c) If the resistance values are in the specified limits:
  • See para. (3)
   (3) At the ELAC1 receptacle, do a check of the insulation between pin AA/7G (pin AD/10C) and the ground.
NOTE: The resistance must be more than 100 Megohms.
     (a) If the resistance is more than 100 Megohms:
       1 If the fault continues:
       2 If the fault continues:
       3 If the fault continues:
  • Do a check of the wiring from the ELAC-1 [2CE1] MON part from pin AE/14G to the first terminal block.
  • Do a check and repair the wiring from the ELAC-1 [2CE1] COM part from pin AA/6G to the ground.
     (b) If the resistance is less than 100 Megohms:
  • At the SERVO CTL-L AILERON, OUTBD B [33CE3] , do a check of the insulation of the solenoid valve between pin A/H (pin A/T) and the ground.
1 If the resistance is less than 100 Megohms:
a Do again a check of the insulation of the solenoid valve between pin A/H (pin A/T) and the ground.
2 If the resistance is more than 100 Megohms:
