4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 24-50-00-810-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) Do a check of the status of the ELEC/GEN1/OFF/BTC2 SPLY of the circuit breaker (14XU):
     (a) If the circuit breaker is open:
       1 If the fault continues:
  • Replace the C/B-ELEC/GEN1/OFF/BTC2 SPLY [14XU] .
     (b) If the circuit breaker is closed:
  • Disconnect the GCU-2 (1XU2) AMM 24-22-34-000-001.
  • Connect an electrical link between the pins AA/12C and AA/1D of the electrical connector of the GCU-2 (1XU2), ASM 242203.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector of the BTC-2 (11XU2) AMM 24-22-55-000-001.
  • On the ELEC control panel 35VU, push the BAT 1 or BAT 2 pushbutton switch. Make sure that the OFF legends of the related BAT pushbutton switch go off.
  • Do a check for 28VDC between the pins B/3 and B/5 of the electrical connector of the BTC-2 (11XU2), ASM 242203:
       1 If the value of voltage is more than 24VDC, stop the trouble shooting procedure.
       2 If the value of voltage is less than 24VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin B/16 of the GLC-1 (9XU1), ASM 242203:
         a If there is a 28VDC:
         b If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin B2 of the GLC-1 auxiliary-control relay (4XU1), ASM 242203:

* If there is a 28VDC:
* - Replace the RELAY-GLC 1 AUX CTL [4XU1] .

** If the fault continues:
** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/16 of the GLC-1 (9XU1) and the pin B3 of the GLC-1 auxiliary-control relay (4XU1), ASM 242203.

* If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin C2 of the GLC-2 auxiliary-control relay (4XU2), ASM 242203:

** If there is a 28VDC:
** - Replace the RELAY-GLC 2 AUX CTL [4XU2] .

*** If the fault continues:
*** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin C1 of the the GLC-2 auxiliary-control relay (4XU2) and the pin B2 of the GLC-1 auxiliary-control relay (4XU1), ASM 242203.

** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin A/D2 of the APU-GLC auxiliary-control relay (4XS), ASM 242203:

*** If there is a 28VDC:
*** - Replace the RELAY-APU GLC AUX CTL [4XS] .

**** If the fault continues:
**** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin A/D3 of the APU-GLC auxiliary-control relay (4XS) and the pin C2 of the GLC-2 auxiliary-control relay (4XU2), ASM 242203.

*** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin A/B2 of the EPC auxiliary-control relay (5XG), ASM 242203:

**** If there is a 28VDC:
**** - Replace the RELAY-EPC AUX CTL [5XG] .

***** If the fault continues:
***** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin A/D2 of the APU-GLC auxiliary-control relay (4XS) and the pin A/B3 of the EPC auxiliary-control relay (5XG), ASM 242203.

**** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin B/12 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG), ASM 242203:

***** If there is a 28VDC:
***** - Replace the EPC [3XG] .

****** If the fault continues:
****** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/12 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG) and the pin A/B2 of the EPC auxiliary-control relay (5XG), ASM 242203.

***** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin B/10 of the GLC-APU 29XN-Module Contactor (3XS), ASM 242203:

****** If there is a 28VDC:
****** - Replace the GLC-APU [3XS] .

******* If the fault continues:
******* - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/12 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG) and the pin B/12 of the APU-GLC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XS), ASM 242203.

****** If there is no 28VDC:
****** - Replace the diode module (2420VD).

******* If the fault continues:
******* - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/10 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG) and the pin A/13 of the diode module 2420VD ASM 242203.
Subtask 24-50-00-810-064-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) Do a check of the status of the ELEC/GEN1/OFF/BTC2 SPLY of the circuit breaker (14XU):
     (a) If the circuit breaker is open:
       1 If the fault continues:
  • Replace the C/B-ELEC/GEN1/OFF/BTC2 SPLY [14XU] .
     (b) If the circuit breaker is closed:
  • Disconnect the GCU-2 (1XU2) AMM 24-22-34-000-001.
  • Connect an electrical link between the pins AA/12C and AA/1D of the electrical connector of the GCU-2 (1XU2), ASM 242203.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector of the BTC-2 (11XU2) AMM 24-22-55-000-001.

* If there is a 28VDC:
* - Replace the RELAY-GLC 1 AUX CTL [4XU1] .

** If the fault continues:
** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/32 of the GLC-1 (9XU1) and the pin B3 of the GLC-1 auxiliary-control relay (4XU1), ASM 242203.

* If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin C2 of the GLC-2 auxiliary-control relay (4XU2), ASM 242203:

** If there is a 28VDC:
** - Replace the RELAY-GLC 2 AUX CTL [4XU2] .

*** If the fault continues:
*** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin C1 of the the GLC-2 auxiliary-control relay (4XU2) and the pin B2 of the GLC-1 auxiliary-control relay (4XU1), ASM 242203.

** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin A/D2 of the APU-GLC auxiliary-control relay (4XS), ASM 242203:

*** If there is a 28VDC:
*** - Replace the RELAY-APU GLC AUX CTL [4XS] .

**** If the fault continues:
**** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin A/D3 of the APU-GLC auxiliary-control relay (4XS) and the pin C2 of the GLC-2 auxiliary-control relay (4XU2), ASM 242203.

*** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin A/B2 of the EPC auxiliary-control relay (5XG), ASM 242203:

**** If there is a 28VDC:
**** - Replace the RELAY-EPC AUX CTL [5XG] .

***** If the fault continues:
***** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin A/D2 of the APU-GLC auxiliary-control relay (4XS) and the pin A/B3 of the EPC auxiliary-control relay (5XG), ASM 242203.

**** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin B/12 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG), ASM 242203:

***** If there is a 28VDC:
***** - Replace the EPC [3XG] .

****** If the fault continues:
****** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/12 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG) and the pin B/2 of the EPC auxiliary-control relay (5XG), ASM 242203.

***** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin B/10 of the GLC-APU 29XN-Module Contactor (3XS), ASM 242203:

****** If there is a 28VDC:
****** - Replace the GLC-APU [3XS] .

******* If the fault continues:
******* - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/12 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG) and the pin B/12 of the APU-GLC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XS), ASM 242203.

****** If there is no 28VDC:
****** - Replace the diode module (2420VD).

******* If the fault continues:
******* - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/10 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG) and the pin A/13 of the diode module 2420VD ASM 242203.
Subtask 24-50-00-810-064-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) Replace the diode module 1164VD , ASM 242302.
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check of the status of the ELEC/GEN1/OFF/BTC2 SPLY of the circuit breaker (14XU):
       1 If the circuit breaker is open:
         a If the fault continues:
  • Replace the C/B-ELEC/GEN1/OFF/BTC2 SPLY [14XU] .
       2 If the circuit breaker is closed:
  • Disconnect the GCU-2 (1XU2) AMM 24-22-34-000-001.
  • Connect an electrical link between the pins AB/10J and AC/4 of the electrical connector of the GCU-2 (1XU2), ASM 242203.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector of the BTC-2 (11XU2) AMM 24-22-55-000-001.
  • On the ELEC control panel 35VU, push the BAT 1 or BAT 2 pushbutton switch. Make sure that the OFF legends of the related BAT pushbutton switch go off.
  • Do a check for 28VDC between the pins B/3 and B/5 of the electrical connector of the BTC-2 (11XU2), ASM 242203:
         a If the value of voltage is more than 24VDC, stop the trouble shooting procedure.
         b If the value of voltage is less than 24VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin B/32 of the GLC-1 (9XU1), ASM 242203:
* If there is a 28VDC:
* - Replace the GLC-1 [9XU1] AMM 24-22-55-000-001 and AMM 24-22-55-400-002.

** If the fault continues:
** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/30 of the GLC-1 (9XU1) and the first terminal-block ASM 242203.

* If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin B2 of the GLC-1 auxiliary-control relay (4XU1), ASM 242203:

** If there is a 28VDC:
** - Replace the RELAY-GLC 1 AUX CTL [4XU1] .

*** If the fault continues:
*** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/32 of the GLC-1 (9XU1) and the pin B3 of the GLC-1 auxiliary-control relay (4XU1), ASM 242203.

** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin C2 of the GLC-2 auxiliary-control relay (4XU2), ASM 242203:

*** If there is a 28VDC:
*** - Replace the RELAY-GLC 2 AUX CTL [4XU2] .

**** If the fault continues:
**** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin C1 of the the GLC-2 auxiliary-control relay (4XU2) and the pin B2 of the GLC-1 auxiliary-control relay (4XU1), ASM 242203.

*** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin A/D2 of the APU-GLC auxiliary-control relay (4XS), ASM 242203:

**** If there is a 28VDC:
**** - Replace the RELAY-APU GLC AUX CTL [4XS] .

***** If the fault continues:
***** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin A/D3 of the APU-GLC auxiliary-control relay (4XS) and the pin C2 of the GLC-2 auxiliary-control relay (4XU2), ASM 242203.

**** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin A/B2 of the EPC auxiliary-control relay (5XG), ASM 242203:

***** If there is a 28VDC:
***** - Replace the RELAY-EPC AUX CTL [5XG] .

****** If the fault continues:
****** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin A/D2 of the APU-GLC auxiliary-control relay (4XS) and the pin A/B3 of the EPC auxiliary-control relay (5XG), ASM 242203.

***** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin B/12 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG), ASM 242203:

****** If there is a 28VDC:
****** - Replace the EPC [3XG] .

******* If the fault continues:
******* - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/12 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG) and the pin A/B2 of the EPC auxiliary-control relay (5XG), ASM 242203.

****** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin B/10 of the GLC-APU 29XN-Module Contactor (3XS), ASM 242203:

******* If there is a 28VDC:
******* - Replace the GLC-APU [3XS] .

******** If the fault continues:
******** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/12 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG) and the pin B/12 of the APU-GLC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XS), ASM 242203.

******* If there is no 28VDC:
******* - Replace the diode module (2420VD).

******** If the fault continues:
******** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/10 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG) and the pin A/13 of the diode module 2420VD ASM 242203.

A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) Replace the RELAY-APU GLC AUX CTL [4XS] .
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check of the status of the ELEC/GEN1/OFF/BTC2 SPLY of the circuit breaker (14XU):
       1 If the circuit breaker is open:
         a If the fault continues:
  • Replace the C/B-ELEC/GEN1/OFF/BTC2 SPLY [14XU] .
       2 If the circuit breaker is closed:
  • Disconnect the GCU-2 (1XU2) AMM 24-22-34-000-001.
  • Connect an electrical link between the pins AB/10J and AC/4 of the electrical connector of the GCU-2 (1XU2), ASM 242203.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector of the BTC-2 (11XU2) AMM 24-22-55-000-001.
  • On the ELEC control panel 35VU, push the BAT 1 or BAT 2 pushbutton switch. Make sure that the OFF legends of the related BAT pushbutton switch go off.
  • Do a check for 28VDC between the pins B/3 and B/5 of the electrical connector of the BTC-2 (11XU2), ASM 242203:
         a If the value of voltage is more than 24VDC, stop the trouble shooting procedure.
         b If the value of voltage is less than 24VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin B/32 of the GLC-1 (9XU1), ASM 242203:
* If there is a 28VDC:
* - Replace the GLC-1 [9XU1] AMM 24-22-55-000-001 and AMM 24-22-55-400-002.

** If the fault continues:
** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/30 of the GLC-1 (9XU1) and the first terminal-block ASM 242203.

* If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin B2 of the GLC-1 auxiliary-control relay (4XU1), ASM 242203:

** If there is a 28VDC:

** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin C2 of the GLC-2 auxiliary-control relay (4XU2), ASM 242203:

*** If there is a 28VDC:
*** - Replace the RELAY-GLC 2 AUX CTL [4XU2] .

**** If the fault continues:
**** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin C1 of the the GLC-2 auxiliary-control relay (4XU2) and the pin B2 of the GLC-1 auxiliary-control relay (4XU1), ASM 242203.

*** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin A/D2 of the APU-GLC auxiliary-control relay (4XS), ASM 242203:

**** If there is a 28VDC:
**** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin A/D3 of the APU-GLC auxiliary-control relay (4XS) and the pin C2 of the GLC-2 auxiliary-control relay (4XU2), ASM 242203.

**** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin A/B2 of the EPC auxiliary-control relay (5XG), ASM 242203:

***** If there is a 28VDC:
***** - Replace the RELAY-EPC AUX CTL [5XG] .

****** If the fault continues:
****** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin A/D2 of the APU-GLC auxiliary-control relay (4XS) and the pin A/B3 of the EPC auxiliary-control relay (5XG), ASM 242203.

***** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin B/12 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG), ASM 242203:

****** If there is a 28VDC:
****** - Replace the EPC [3XG] .

******* If the fault continues:
******* - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/12 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG) and the pin A/B2 of the EPC auxiliary-control relay (5XG), ASM 242203.

****** If there is no 28VDC, do a check for 28VDC on the pin B/10 of the GLC-APU 29XN-Module Contactor (3XS), ASM 242203:

******* If there is a 28VDC:
******* - Replace the GLC-APU [3XS] .

******** If the fault continues:
******** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/12 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG) and the pin B/12 of the APU-GLC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XS), ASM 242203.

******* If there is no 28VDC:
******* - Replace the diode module (2420VD).

******** If the fault continues:
******** - Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin B/10 of the EPC 29XN-Module Contactor (3XG) and the pin A/13 of the diode module 2420VD ASM 242203.

  • Release the GEN 1 pushbutton switch (3XU1).

  • Push the ELEC key to get the ELEC page.
On the lower ECAM display unit:
  • The GEN 2 supplies the AC 2 and AC 1 busbars.

D. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Stop the engine 2 AMM 71-00-00-710-028.
   (2) Do the EIS stop procedure

   (3) On the ECAM control panel, set the UPPER DISPLAY and LOWER DISPLAY potentiometers to OFF.
   (4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
AMM 24-41-00-862-002.

D. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Stop the engine 2 AMM 71-00-00-710-028.
   (2) Do the EIS stop procedure

   (4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
