3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 24-38-00-860-059-A
A. Job Set-up
   (1) Push the ELEC/BAT 2 pushbutton switch (7PB2).
   (2) Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
     (a) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
AMM 24-41-00-861-002.
     (b) Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)

B. Test
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the ECAM control panel:
  • push the ELEC key to get the ELEC page.
On the upper ECAM DU:
  • the BAT 2 OFF message comes into view.
2.On the ELEC panel 35VU:
  • release and push the BAT 2 pushbutton switch (7PB2).
If on the upper ECAM DU:
  • the BAT 2 OFF message goes out of view, stop the trouble shooting.
    If on the upper ECAM DU:
  • the BAT 2 OFF message stays in view, continue the trouble shooting (refer to the fault isolation which follows).

B. If the test confirms the fault:
  • open the circuit breakers 30LP, 8PB2 and 9PB2
  • replace the P/BSW-ELEC/BAT 2 [7PB2] ESPM 2045110
  • close the circuit breakers 30LP, 8PB2 and 9PB2.
   (1) If the fault continues:
  • do a check of the wiring :
    . from the pin A/A3 of the ELEC/BAT 2 pushbutton switch (7PB2) to the DC1 ground ASM 243802, AWM 243806 and AWM 249106
    . from the pin A/A2 of the ELEC/BAT 2 pushbutton switch (7PB2) to the pin 11Y of the first terminal block 2407VT ASM 243802 and AWM 243806
    . from the pin 11P of the first terminal block 2407VT to the pin 25M of the second terminal block 1862VT ASM 243802 and AWM 315428
    . from the pin 25E of the second terminal block 1862VT to the pin AD/7H of the SDAC1 (1WV1) ASM 243802 and AWM 315428
    . from the pin 25V of the second terminal block 1862VT to the pin AD/7H of the SDAC2 (1WV2) ASM 243802 and AWM 315428.
     (a) If there is no continuity:
  • repair the wiring.

   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
