3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 24-35-00-710-059-A
A. Test
   (1) After you open the TR1-contactor supply circuit-breaker (4PU1):
     (a) If the DC BAT BUS is not supplied immediately after the loss of the DC1 busbar:
  • Do the trouble shooting given in Para 4.A.
     (b) If the DC1 busbar is not supplied after five seconds:
  • Do the trouble shooting given in Para 4.B.
     (c) If, in the lower part of the rear panel 120VU, the contactors open and close immediately and for five seconds:
  • Do the trouble shooting given in Para 4.C.
NOTE: You can hear the contactor flicker.
     (d) If, in the lower part of the rear panel 120VU, the contactors open and close after five seconds:
  • Do the trouble shooting given in Para 4.D.
NOTE: You can hear the contactors flicker after five seconds.
   (2) After you open the TR2 contactor supply circuit breaker 4PU2:
  • If the DC2 busbar is not supplied after five seconds:
     (a) Do the trouble shooting given in Para 4.E.
   (3) On the MCDU, when you do the reset of the TR1(2), if the TR1(2) does not supply the DC1(2) busbar:
  • Do the trouble shooting given in Para 4.F.
   (4) If, the DC ESS box is not energized by the DC BAT, but by the ESS TR:
   (5) After you open the TR1(2) supply circuit-breaker (2PU1(2)), if the DC1(2) busbar is not supplied:
  • Do the trouble shooting given in Para 4.G.
4. Fault Isolation

A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) If the fault continues:

  • Replace the diode module 2420VD .

  • Do a check and repair the wiring ASM 243502 between:
    . The pin 2 of the ELEC/CNTOR/DC BUS/TIE 1/FAULT (14PC) and the pin B/7 of the contactor TR2 (5PU2)
    . The pin B/9 of the contactor TR2 (5PU2) and the pin B/10 of the DC NORM-BUS 1 switching contactor (1PC1)
    . The pin B/12 of the DC NORM-BUS 1 switching contactor (1PC1) and the pin B/18 of the DC ESS-BUS supply contactor (4PC)
    . The pin B/20 of the DC ESS-BUS supply contactor (4PC) and the A/38 of the diode module (2420VD)
    . The pin A/37 of the diode module (2420VD) and the pin B/3 of the DC NORM-BUS 2 switching contactor (1PC2)
    . The pin B/5 of the DC NORM-BUS 2 switching contactor (1PC2) and the ground.

B. If the test confirms the fault:
  • Disconnect the connector B from the TR1 (1PU1) and on the electrical connector B, connect a ground to the pin B/E ASM 243202 and ASM 243502.
   (1) If the DC1 busbar is supplied:
   (2) If the DC1 busbar is not supplied:
  • Do a check for 28VDC at the pin A/D2 of the BUS 1XP control relay (20XN1) ASM 243502.
     (a) If there is no 28VDC:
  • Replace the RELAY-SWTG SPLY/TR 1 FAULT [8PC1] .
       1 If the fault continues:

  • Do a check and repair the wiring ASM 243502 between:
    . The pin B/10 of the DC ESS-BUS supply contactor (4PC) and the pin A/D2 of the BUS 1XP control relay (20XN1)
    . The pin B/10 of the DC ESS-BUS supply contactor (4PC) and the pin A/D2 of the BUS 2XP control relay (20XN2)
    . The pin B/12 of the DC ESS-BUS supply contactor (4PC) and the pin A/B1 of the TR1-fault switching supply-relay (8PC1)
    . The pin B/12 of the DC ESS-BUS supply contactor (4PC) and the pin A/B1 of the TR2-fault switching supply-relay (8PC2)
    . The pin A/B2 of the TR1-fault switching supply-relay (8PC1) and the pin 2 of the ELEC/TR 1 FAULT/DC BUS/TIE/CONFIG circuit breaker 7PC1
    . The pin A/X1 of the TR1-fault switching supply-relay (8PC1) and the pin 2 of the ELEC/TR 1 FAULT/DC BUS/TIE/CONFIG circuit breaker 7PC1
    . The pin A/X2 of the TR1-fault switching supply-relay (8PC1) and the pin B/E of the TR1 (1PU1).
     (b) If there is 28VDC:
  • Do a check for 28VDC at the pin A/D1 of the BUS 1XP control relay (20XN1):
       1 If there is no 28VDC:
  • Replace the BUS 1XP control relay 20XN1 and the BUS 2XP control relay 20XN2 .
       2 If there is 28VDC:
  • Replace the diode module 2420VD .
         a If the fault continues:
  • Do a check and repair the wiring ASM 243502 between:
    . The pin A/D1 of the BUS 1XP control relay (20XN1) and the pin A/17 of the diode module (2420VD)
    . The pin A/D1 of the BUS 2XP control relay (20XN2) and the pin A/17 of the diode module (2420VD)
    . The pin A/17 of the diode module (2420VD) and the pin A/32 of the diode module (2420VD)
    . The pin A/2 of the diode module (2420VD) and the pin B/3 of the DC NORM-BUS 1 switching contactor (1PC1)
    . The pin B/5 of the DC NORM-BUS 1 switching contactor (1PC1) and the ground
    . The pin A/31 of the diode module (2420VD) and the pin B/3 of the DC NORM-BUS 2 switching contactor (1PC2)
    . The pin B/5 of the DC NORM-BUS 2 switching contactor (1PC2) and the ground.

C. If the test confirms the fault:
  • Replace the diode module 2420VD .

  • Disconnect the connector B from the TR2 (1PU2) and on the electrical connector B, connect a ground to the pin B/E ASM 243201 and ASM 243502.
   (1) If the DC2 busbar is supplied:
   (2) If the DC2 busbar is not supplied:
  • Replace the diode module 2420VD .
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • Replace the RELAY-SWTG SPLY/TR 2 FAULT [8PC2] .
     (b) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check and repair the wiring ASM 243502 between:
    . The pin A/B2 of the TR2-fault switching supply-relay (8PC2) and the pin 2 of the ELEC/TR 2/ FAULT/DC BUS/TIE/CONFIG circuit breaker 7PC2
    . The pin A/X1 of the TR2-fault switching supply-relay (8PC2) and the pin 2 of the ELEC/TR 2/ FAULT/DC BUS/TIE/CONFIG circuit breaker 7PC2
    . The pin A/X2 of the TR2-fault switching supply-relay (8PC2) and the pin B/E of the TR2 (1PU2).

F. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) If the TR1 does not supply the DC1 busbar, when you do the reset of the TR1:
     (a) If the fault continues:
       1 If the fault continues:
  • Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin AB/1B of the CFDIU (1TW) and the pin B/J of the TR1 (1PU1) ASM 313206.
   (2) If the TR2 does not supply the DC2 busbar, when you do the reset of the TR2:
     (a) If the fault continues:
       1 If the fault continues:
  • Do a check and repair the wiring between the pin AA/5K of the CFDIU (1TW) and the pin B/J of the TR2 (1PU2) ASM 313206.

G. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) FOR [2PU1] (C/B-TR1/SPLY)
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check and repair the wiring ASM 243202 between:
    . The pin B/H of the TR1 (1PU1) and the pin 2 of the ELEC/TR2/MONG circuit breaker (3PU1)
    . The pin B/G of the TR1 (1PU1) and the ground.
   (2) FOR [2PU2] (C/B-TR2/214XP/SPLY)
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check and repair the wiring ASM 243201 between:
    . The pin B/H of the TR2 (1PU2) and the pin 2 of the ELEC/TR2/MONG circuit breaker (3PU2)
    . The pin B/G of the TR2 (1PU2) and the ground.
