Not applicable.
NOTE: After the disconnection of the IDG, do this TSM procedure and replace the components at the next check. Make sure that the IDG does not operate for more than 50 hours in the disconnected mode. If the IDG operates for 50 hours in the disconnected mode, you must replace the IDG and send the removed IDG for a shop inspection. There is a risk of damage to the ball bearing assembly on the input shaft.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
AMM 24-41-00-861-002.
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
AMM 31-60-00-860-001.
   (3) Safety Precautions
   (4) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
     (b) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) On the overhead maintenance-panel 50VU:
       1 Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
       2 Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

   (1) Open the fan cowl doors AMM 71-13-00-010-802.

  • Do not do the reset of IDG 1(2) disconnect system in Para 4.D. of the operational test.
       7 Do the flushing of IDG 1(2) and the external lines AMM 24-21-00-612-806.
     (b) If there are leaks at the drain mast and IDG 1(2) is not disconnected:
       1 Continue the trouble shooting procedure and go to the Para. 4.C.
     (c) If there are leaks at the drain mast and IDG 1(2) is disconnected:
On the lower ECAM DU:
  • The amber DISC indication comes into view below the IDG indication.
       1 Continue the trouble shooting procedure and go to Para. 4.D.

   (3) In the cockpit, on the center pedestal ENG panel 115VU and on the overhead maintenance-panel 50VU, remove the warning notices.
   (4) Remove the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE.
