A. Inspection
(1) Do a visual inspection of the IDG1 (2) and external system (tubings, cooler) for oil leaks AMM 24-21-00-210-047.
(2) If you find no leak continue the trouble shooting procedure as follows.
Subtask 24-21-00-810-072-F ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do a visual inspection of the IDG1 (2) and external system (tubings, cooler) for oil leaks AMM 24-21-00-210-047.
(2) If you find no leak continue the trouble shooting procedure as follows.
A. Inspection
(1) Do a visual inspection of the IDG1 (2) and external system (hoses, IDG oil/oil and IDG fuel/oil Heat Exchanger) for oil leaks AMM 24-21-00-210-806.
(2) If you find no leak, continue the trouble shooting procedure as follows.
Subtask 24-21-00-860-055-A (1) Do a visual inspection of the IDG1 (2) and external system (hoses, IDG oil/oil and IDG fuel/oil Heat Exchanger) for oil leaks AMM 24-21-00-210-806.
(2) If you find no leak, continue the trouble shooting procedure as follows.
B. Aircraft Maintenance configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits AMM 24-41-00-861-002.
(2) Do the EIS start procedure AMM 31-60-00-860-001.
Subtask 24-21-00-710-076-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits AMM 24-41-00-861-002.
(2) Do the EIS start procedure AMM 31-60-00-860-001.
C. Check of the IDG Drain Mast for Leakage
(a) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance AMM 78-30-00-481-041.
(b) Open the thrust reverser doors AMM 78-36-00-010-040.
(c) On the engine drain collector assembly, put a CONTAINER 1 L (0,25 USGAL) - TRANSPARENT and a HOSE - DRAIN on the IDG oil drain AMM 71-73-49-000-004 AMM 71-73-49-400-004.
(d) Close the thrust reverser doors AMM 78-36-00-410-040.
(2) Engine operation
(b) Operate the engine at 70 percent N1 and let it become stable for 5 minutes.
(c) Operate the engine at minimum idle and let it become stable for 5 minutes.
(d) Stop the engine AMM 71-00-00-710-028.
(e) If you find an oil leakage from the IDG drain, change the IDG [4000XU] AMM 24-21-51-000-040 AMM 24-21-51-400-040.
Subtask 24-21-00-710-076-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: An internal oil consumption of 1 cc is permitted for each flight hour or when the engines operate.
(1) Preparation for the test (a) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance AMM 78-30-00-481-041.
(b) Open the thrust reverser doors AMM 78-36-00-010-040.
(c) On the engine drain collector assembly, put a CONTAINER 1 L (0,25 USGAL) - TRANSPARENT and a HOSE - DRAIN on the IDG oil drain AMM 71-73-49-000-004 AMM 71-73-49-400-004.
(d) Close the thrust reverser doors AMM 78-36-00-410-040.
(2) Engine operation
WARNING:
- ENGINE OPERATION MUST NOT EXCEED MINIMUM IDLE WHEN PERSONNEL ARE IN ENTRY/EXIT CORRIDOR.
(a) Start the engine AMM 71-00-00-710-003 and let it become stable at minimum idle for 5 minutes. - POSITIVE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE FLIGHT COMPARTMENT AND PERSONNEL IN ENTRY EXIT CORRIDOR IS NECESSARY.
- INLET AND EXHAUST HAZARD AREAS MUST BE STRICTLY OBSERVED BY PERSONNEL IN ENTRY/EXIT CORRIDOR.
(b) Operate the engine at 70 percent N1 and let it become stable for 5 minutes.
(c) Operate the engine at minimum idle and let it become stable for 5 minutes.
(d) Stop the engine AMM 71-00-00-710-028.
(e) If you find an oil leakage from the IDG drain, change the IDG [4000XU] AMM 24-21-51-000-040 AMM 24-21-51-400-040.
C. Check of the IDG Drain Mast for Leakage
(a) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance AMM 78-30-00-481-041.
(b) Open the thrust reverser doors AMM 78-36-00-010-040.
(c) On the engine drain collector assembly, put a CONTAINER 1 L (0,25 USGAL) - PLASTIC and a HOSE - DRAIN on the IDG oil drain AMM 71-73-49-000-004 AMM 71-73-49-400-004.
(d) Close the thrust reverser doors AMM 78-36-00-410-040.
(2) Engine operation
(b) Operate the engine at 70 percent N1 and let it become stable for 5 minutes.
(c) Operate the engine at minimum idle and let it become stable for 5 minutes.
(d) Stop the engine AMM 71-00-00-710-028.
(e) If you find an oil leakage from the IDG drain, change the IDG [4000XU] AMM 24-21-51-000-040 AMM 24-21-51-400-040.
5. Close-upNOTE: An internal oil consumption of 1 cc is permitted for each flight hour or when the engines operate.

(b) Operate the engine at 70 percent N1 and let it become stable for 5 minutes.

(e) If you find an oil leakage from the IDG drain, change the IDG [4000XU] AMM 24-21-51-000-040 AMM 24-21-51-400-040.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Do the EIS stop procedure AMM 31-60-00-860-002.
(2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits AMM 24-41-00-862-002.
