A. Do this trouble shooting procedure
Subtask 24-21-00-810-067-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: You can find the DPI extended with CFDS fault messages.
First, do the trouble shooting for each CFDS fault messages.
For this, refer to the CFDS index list.
(1) If no message is found: First, do the trouble shooting for each CFDS fault messages.
For this, refer to the CFDS index list.
- replace the IDG [4000XU] AMM 24-21-51-000-040 and AMM 24-21-51-400-040,
- or do the alternate procedure (IDG DPI reset).
B. Alternate Procedure (IDG DPI Reset)
(a) Do a check of the IDG2oil filter(s) and the cover(s) for metal particles AMM 24-21-00-210-044:
1 If you find metal particles:
a Drain the oil, replace the oil filter(s) and fill the IDG2 with oil AMM 24-21-00-920-040.
b Do a reset the DPI.
c Use a sticker, tag or other method to write on the IDG that you did the first reset of the DPI.
(2) If this is not the first reset:
(a) Do a check of the number of reset:
a Drain the oil, replace the oil filter(s) and fill the IDG2 with oil AMM 24-21-00-920-040.
b Do a reset of the DPI.
c Use a sticker, tag or other method to write on the IDG that you did the second or third reset of the DPI.
Subtask 24-21-00-810-066-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: The alternate procedure lets you do a reset of a DPI as an alternative to the replacement of the IDG.
There are conditions related to this procedure:
(1) If this is the first reset: There are conditions related to this procedure:
- A maximum of three resets is permitted.
- After a DPI reset, the DPI check interval becomes:
. For normal operations: seven days or 100 FH (the one that comes first).
. For Extended Range Twin-Engined Aircraft Operations (ETOPS): before each flight.
If, after a DPI reset, the DPI does not extend again between two scheduled oil/filter changes, you can cancel the conditions related to this procedure: - The DPI reset status goes back to zero (a maximum of three more resets is permitted).
- The DPI check interval goes back to the interval specified in the MPD.
24-21-00-03 TSM TASK 24-21-00-03
(a) Do a check of the IDG2
1 If you find metal particles:
- Do the servicing of the IDG after oil chemical contamination and extension of the oil-filter Differential-Pressure Indication (DPI) AMM 24-21-00-612-043.
a Drain the oil, replace the oil filter(s) and fill the IDG2 with oil AMM 24-21-00-920-040.
b Do a reset the DPI.
c Use a sticker, tag or other method to write on the IDG that you did the first reset of the DPI.
(2) If this is not the first reset:
(a) Do a check of the number of reset:
- if you did three resets:
. replace the IDG [4000XU] AMM 24-21-51-000-040 and AMM 24-21-51-400-040. - if you did less than three resets done:
. do a check of the IDG2oil filter(s) and the cover(s) for metal particles AMM 24-21-00-210-044.
- Do the servicing of the IDG after oil chemical contamination and extension of the oil-filter Differential-Pressure Indication (DPI) AMM 24-21-00-612-043.
a Drain the oil, replace the oil filter(s) and fill the IDG2 with oil AMM 24-21-00-920-040.
b Do a reset of the DPI.
c Use a sticker, tag or other method to write on the IDG that you did the second or third reset of the DPI.
C. Do this trouble shooting procedure
Subtask 24-21-00-810-067-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: You can find the DPI extended with CFDS fault messages.
First, do the trouble shooting for each CFDS fault messages.
For this, refer to the CFDS index list.
(1) If no message is found: First, do the trouble shooting for each CFDS fault messages.
For this, refer to the CFDS index list.
- Replace IDG-ENG 2 [4000XU2] AMM 24-21-51-000-803 and AMM 24-21-51-400-803,
- Or do the alternate procedure (IDG DPI reset).
D. Alternate Procedure (IDG DPI Reset)
(a) Do a check of the IDG2 oil filters and the covers for metal particles AMM 24-21-00-210-805:
1 If you find metal particles:
a Drain the oil, replace the oil filters and fill the IDG2 with oil AMM 24-21-00-920-802.
b Do a reset of the DPI.
c Use a sticker, tag or other method to write on the IDG that you did the first reset of the DPI.
(2) If this is not the first reset:
(a) Do a check of the number of reset:
a Drain the oil, replace the oil filters and fill the IDG2 with oil AMM 24-21-00-920-802.
b Do a reset of the DPI.
c Use a sticker, tag or other method to write on the IDG that you did the second or third reset of the DPI.
NOTE: The alternate procedure lets you do a reset of a DPI as an alternative to the replacement of the IDG.
There are conditions related to this procedure:
