A. Test
(1) On the overhead panel, on the ELEC control panel 35VU, push, release and push again the GEN1 pushbutton switch (3XU1).
(2) After ten minutes, do the BITE test of the EPGS AMM 24-41-00-740-002.
4. Fault Isolation(1) On the overhead panel, on the ELEC control panel 35VU, push, release and push again the GEN1 pushbutton switch (3XU1).
(2) After ten minutes, do the BITE test of the EPGS AMM 24-41-00-740-002.
Subtask 24-00-00-810-103-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the BITE test gives the maintenance message LOW OIL LEVEL/IDG1 (E1-4000XU):
Do a check of the IDG1 oil level at the sightglass AMM 24-21-00-210-805.
(1) If the oil level is low:
1 Repair or replace the components as necessary to remove the leaks.
2 On the overhead panel, on the ELEC control panel 35VU, push and release the GEN 1 pushbutton switch (3XU1) to do a reset of the protection functions of the GCU1.
3 Wait six minutes.
4 Do the BITE test of the EPGS AMM 24-41-00-740-002 again to make sure that the message is not shown.
5 After six minutes, if the BITE test gives the maintenance message LOW OIL LEVEL/IDG1 (E1-4000XU), continue the trouble shooting to the Para A.(3) of the Fault Isolation.
(b) If you find no leaks:
1 Add oil AMM 12-13-24-612-803.
2 On the overhead panel, on the ELEC control panel 35VU, push and release the GEN 1 pushbutton switch (3XU1) to do a reset of the protection functions of the GCU1.
3 Wait six minutes.
4 Do the BITE test of the EPGS AMM 24-41-00-740-002 again to make sure that the maintenance message is not shown.
5 After six minutes, if the BITE test gives the maintenance message LOW OIL LEVEL/IDG1 (E1-4000XU), continue the trouble shooting in the Para. A.(3) of the Fault Isolation.
(2) If the oil level is under the middle of the green band:
(a) Add oil AMM 12-13-24-612-803.
1 On the overhead panel, on the ELEC control panel 35VU, push and release the GEN 1 pushbutton switch (3XU1) to do a reset of the protection functions of the GCU1.
2 Wait six minutes.
3 Do the BITE test of the EPGS AMM 24-41-00-740-002 again to make sure that the maintenance message is not shown.
(a) Do a check of the resistance of the Remote Oil Lever Sensor (ROLS) between pins B/3 and B/4 of the IDG1 (100 ohms plus or minus 50 ohms at 25 deg.C (77.00 deg.F)) ASM 242101
(b) If the resistance value is out of the specified limits:
5. Close-upDo a check of the IDG1 oil level at the sightglass AMM 24-21-00-210-805.
(1) If the oil level is low:
- Do a visual inspection of the IDG1 and the external system for oil leaks AMM 24-21-00-210-806.
- Tubings
- HEAT EXCHANGER-OIL/OIL,IDG [5002XM]
