CAUTION:
BEFORE YOU START THE CHECK OF IDG WIRING THAT INCLUDES CONNECTORS, EXAMINE EACH CONNECTOR TO MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS NO CONTAMINATION IN IT.
IF YOU FIND CONTAMINATION, CLEAN THE CONNECTOR AND CONNECT IT AGAIN.
IF THE FAILURE CONTINUES, DO THE TROUBLE SHOOTING PROCEDURE AS GIVEN BELOW.
Subtask 24-00-00-810-063-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. If the fault symptom is identified by the CFDS message IDG1 (E1-4000XU) OIL DELTA TEMP/ GCU1 (1XU1):
Subtask 24-00-00-810-063-G ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL - do a check of the Differential Pressure Indicator (DPI) of the IDG 1 AMM 24-21-00-210-046.
- replace the engine 1 IDG [4000XU] AMM 24-21-51-000-040 and AMM 24-21-51-400-040.
- do an inspection of the IDG 1 charge and scavenge filters AMM 24-21-00-210-044.
- replace the engine 1 IDG [4000XU] AMM 24-21-51-000-040 and AMM 24-21-51-400-040.
- replace the IDG 1 charge and scavenge filters AMM 24-21-00-920-040
- add oil AMM 12-13-24-612-041
- do the operational test of the IDG 1 disconnect and reconnect function (with the engine in operation) AMM 24-21-00-720-041.
- do a check of the resistance of the oil inlet and outlet temperature-sensors of the IDG 1 ASM 242101 between:
. pin B/7 and pin B/8 (100 ohms plus or minus 10 ohms at the ambient temperature of the IDG case)
. pin B/8 and pin B/9 (100 ohms plus or minus 10 ohms at the ambient temperature of the IDG case).
- replace the engine 1 IDG [4000XU] AMM 24-21-51-000-040 and AMM 24-21-51-400-040.
- do a check of the wiring of the oil inlet and outlet temperature-sensors ASM 242101 for an open circuit, a short to ground or a short to shield between:
. pin B/7 of the IDG 1 and pin A/9C of the GCU 1
. pin B/8 of the IDG 1 and pin A/9D of the GCU 1
. pin B/9 of the IDG 1 and pin A/10C of the GCU 1
. pins A/9C and A/10D of the GCU 1 (do a check for a short to shield)
. pins A/9D and A/10D of the GCU 1 (do a check for a short to shield)
. pins A/10C and A/10D of the GCU 1 (do a check for a short to shield).
- repair or replace as necessary.
- replace the GCU-1 [1XU1] AMM 24-22-34-000-001 and AMM 24-22-34-400-001.
- replace the engine 1 IDG [4000XU] AMM 24-21-51-000-040 and AMM 24-21-51-400-040.
A. If the fault symptom is identified by the CFDS message IDG1 (E1-4000XU) OIL TEMP/ GCU1 (1XU1):
Subtask 24-00-00-860-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL - Do a check of the Differential Pressure Indicator (DPI) of the IDG 1 AMM 24-21-00-210-805.
- Replace IDG-ENG 1 [4000XU1] AMM 24-21-51-000-803 and AMM 24-21-51-400-803.
- Do an inspection of the IDG 1 charge and scavenge filters AMM 24-21-00-210-807.
- Replace IDG-ENG 1 [4000XU1] AMM 24-21-51-000-803 and AMM 24-21-51-400-803.
- Replace the IDG 1 charge and scavenge filters AMM 24-21-00-920-802
- Add oil AMM 12-13-24-612-803
- Do a dynamic disconnect test of the IDG 1 AMM 24-21-00-710-803.
- Do an electrical resistance test of the inlet and outlet oil temperature-sensors of the IDG 1 ASM 242101 between:
. Pin B/7 and pin B/8 (100 ohms plus or minus 10 ohms at the ambient temperature of the IDG case)
. Pin B/8 and pin B/9 (100 ohms plus or minus 10 ohms at the ambient temperature of the IDG case).
- Replace IDG-ENG 1 [4000XU1] AMM 24-21-51-000-803 and AMM 24-21-51-400-803.
- Do a check of the wiring of the inlet and outlet oil temperature-sensors ASM 242101 for an open circuit, a short to ground or a short to shield between:
. Pin B/7 of the IDG 1 and pin A/9C of the GCU 1
. Pin B/8 of the IDG 1 and pin A/9D of the GCU 1
. Pin B/9 of the IDG 1 and pin A/10C of the GCU 1
. Pins A/9C and A/10D of the GCU 1 (do a check for a short to shield)
. Pins A/9D and A/10D of the GCU 1 (do a check for a short to shield)
. Pins A/10C and A/10D of the GCU 1 (do a check for a short to shield).
- Repair or replace as necessary.
- Replace GCU-1 [1XU1] AMM 24-22-34-000-001 and AMM 24-22-34-400-001.
- Replace IDG-ENG 1 [4000XU1] AMM 24-21-51-000-803 and AMM 24-21-51-400-803.
B. After the subsequent flight, make sure that the fault does not continue.
