A. If the test gives a different maintenance message, do the trouble shooting procedure related to the maintenance message.
Subtask 23-73-00-810-771-F ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. If the CIDS2/CIDS BUS test gives the maintenance message TOP LINE 1L:
  • make sure that at least one cabin door is open,
  • On the overhead-panel 25VU:
    make sure that the EMER EXIT LT switch (4WL) is in the OFF position,
  • remove the DIR-CIDS (101RH) AMM 23-73-34-000-001,
  • close these CBs:
    49VU: 157RH (G02) CIDS/DIR 2/ESS,
    121VU:156RH (M07) CIDS/DIR 2/NORM,
  • wait for approx. 120 s,
  • do the CIDS2/CIDS BUS test through the MCDU/CFDS.
   (1) If the CIDS2/CIDS BUS test is OK:
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • remove the DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] AMM 23-73-34-000-001.
  • during the installation of the DIR-CIDS, 1 (101RH) do not close these CBs:
    49VU: 157RH (G02) CIDS/DIR 2/ESS,
    121VU:156RH (M07) CIDS/DIR 2/NORM,
  • install the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] AMM 23-73-34-400-001.
  • do the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test through the MCDU/CFDS.
   (3) If the CIDS1/CIDS BUS test is OK:
   (4) If the fault continues:
  • remove the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] AMM 23-73-34-000-001
  • open these CBs:
    49VU: 154RH COM/CIDS/DEU A ESS/LINE 1
    49VU: 155RH COM/CIDS/DEU A ESS/LINE 2
    121VU: 167RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A NORM/L AFT

  • make sure that the resistance (line to line) at DIR-CIDS (101RH) and (102RH) connector AA/D15 and connector AA/E15 is between approx. 80 and 200 ohms ASM 237306.
   (5) If the resistance (line to line) is between approx. 80 and 200 ohms:
  • make sure that the resistance (line to GND) is not less than 50 ohms (short circuit) between:
    DIR-CIDS (101RH) and (102RH) connector AA/D15 and GND,
    DIR-CIDS (101RH) and (102RH) connector AA/E15 and GND. ASM 237306
     (a) If there is no short circuit:
  • remove the DEU-A [200RH23] AMM 23-73-46-000-001
  • install the DIR-CIDS (101RH) and DIR-CIDS (102RH) AMM 23-73-34-400-001.
  • close these CBs:
    49VU: 154RH COM/CIDS/DEU A ESS/LINE 1
    49VU: 155RH COM/CIDS/DEU A ESS/LINE 2

  • do the CIDS BITE test through the MCDU/CFDS AMM 23-73-00-740-005.
       1 If the CIDS BITE test gives the maintenance message DEU-A 200RH23:
       2 If the CIDS BITE test gives the maintenance message CIDS TOP LINE 1 L:
     (b) If there is a short circuit:
       1 If there is no short circuit:
       2 If the fault continues:
  • disconnect the electrical connector 7253VC1 from the DEU mount 2014VU1 AMM 23-73-48-000-001.
  • do a check for a short circuit again.
         a If there is no short circuit:
         b If the fault continues:
  • remove the DEU-A [200RH19] AMM 23-73-46-000-001
  • do a check for a short circuit again.

  • b.1. If there is no short circuit:
  • install a new DEU-A [200RH19] AMM 23-73-46-400-001.

  • b.2. If the fault continues:
  • install the removed DEU-A [200RH23] AMM 23-73-46-400-001,
  • reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU mount 2014VU1 AMM 23-73-48-400-001,
  • disconnect the electrical connector 7213VC19 from the DEU mount 2010VU19 AMM 23-73-48-000-001,
  • do a check for a short circuit again.

  • b.2.1. If there is no short circuit:
  • do a check for a short circuit at the connector 7213VC19 between pin 9 and GND (pin 11) and between pin 10 and GND (pin 11).

  • b.2.1.1. If there is a short circuit:
  • repair the wiring between the DEU mount 2010VU19 and the DEU mount 2014VU1 ASM 237306.

  • b.2.1.2. If there is no short circuit:
  • install a new DEU mount 2010VU19 AMM 23-73-48-400-001.

  • b.2.2. If there is a short circuit:
  • install the removed DEU-A [200RH19] AMM 23-73-46-400-001,
  • reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU mount 2010VU19 AMM 23-73-48-400-001,
  • do the steps (4. B. (5) (b) 2 b) again for the subsequent DEUs and DEU mounts until the maintenance message stops: ASM 237306
    DEU-A [200RH13] and DEU mount 2010VU13 ,
    DEU-A [200RH9] and DEU mount 2010VU9 ,
    DEU-A [200RH5] and DEU mount 2010VU5 ,
    DEU-A [200RH1] and DEU mount 2010VU1 .
   (6) If the resistance (line to line) is more than 200 ohms (open circuit):
  • disconnect the electrical connector 7253VC1 from the DEU mount 2014VU1 AMM 23-73-48-000-001,
  • make sure that the resistance (line to line) is not more than 200 ohms (open circuit) between:
    DEU mount 2014VU1 pin A/1 and pin A/2
     (a) If there is an open circuit:
     (b) If there is no open circuit:
  • reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU mount 2014VU1 AMM 23-73-48-400-001
  • disconnect the electrical connector 7213VC1 from the DEU mount 2010VU1 AMM 23-73-48-000-001,
  • do a check of the wiring (continuity-check) between:
    DIR-CIDS (102RH) connector AA/D15 and the connector 7213VC1 pin A/1,
    DIR-CIDS (102RH) connector AA/E15 and the connector 7213VC1 pin A/2.
       1 If there is no continuity:
  • repair the wiring between the DIR-CIDS (102RH) and the connector 7213VC1 ASM 237306.
       2 If there is continuity:
  • do a check of the wiring (continuity-check) between:
    DEU mount 2010VU1 pin A/1 and pin A/9 ,
    DEU mount 2010VU1 pin A/2 and pin A/10.
         a If there is no continuity:
         b If there is continuity:
  • reconnect the connector 7213VC1 to the DEU mount 2010VU1 AMM 23-73-48-400-001
  • do the steps 4. B. (6) again for the subsequent DEU mounts until the maintenance message stops:
    DIR-CIDS (102RH) and DEU mount 2010VU5 /connector 7213VC5,
    DIR-CIDS (102RH) and DEU mount 2010VU9 /connector 7213VC9,
    DIR-CIDS (102RH) and DEU mount 2010VU13 /connector 7213VC13,
    DIR-CIDS (102RH) and DEU mount 2010VU19 /connector 7213VC19,
    DIR-CIDS (102RH) and DEU mount 2014VU1 /connector 7253VC1.
   (7) If the resistance (line to line) is less than 80 ohms (short circuit):
     (a) If there is no short circuit:
     (b) If there is a short circuit:
       1 If there is a short circuit:
  • reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU mount 2014VU1 AMM 23-73-48-400-001,
  • do the steps 4. B. (7) again for the subsequent DEUs and DEU mounts until the maintenance message stops: ASM 237306
    DEU-A [200RH19] and DEU mount 2010VU19 ,
    DEU-A [200RH13] and DEU mount 2010VU13 ,
    DEU-A [200RH9] and DEU mount 2010VU9 ,

       2 If there is no short circuit:
  • do a check for a short circuit at the disconnected connector between the pins A/9 and A/10 ASM 237306
         a If there is a short circuit:
  • repair the wiring between the related DEU mount 2010VUxx and the DEU mount 2014VUxx/2010VUxx ASM 237306.
         b If there is no short circuit:

B. If the CIDS Interface and Power-Up test gives the maintenance message CIDS TOP BUS 1L/DIR2 (102RH):
  • remove the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] AMM 23-73-34-000-001,
  • make sure that at least one cabin door is open.
  • on the overhead panel 25VU:
    make sure that the EMER EXIT LT switch (4WL) is in the OFF position.
  • close these CBs:
    49VU: 157RH COM/CIDS/DIR/2,
    49VU: 18WH AIR COND/CIDS/SDF/DIR 2 ESS,

  • wait for approx. 120s,
  • do the CIDS2 Interface and Power-Up test through the CFDS.
   (1) If the CIDS2 Interface and Power-Up test is OK:
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • remove the DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] AMM 23-73-34-000-001.
  • during the installation of the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] do not close these CBs:
    49VU: 157RH COM/CIDS/DIR/2,
    49VU: 18WH AIR COND/CIDS/SDF/DIR 2 ESS,
    120VU: 156RH COM NAV/CIDS/DIR/NORM/2,

  • install the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] AMM 23-73-34-400-001.
  • do the CIDS Interface and Power-Up test through the CFDS.
   (3) If the CIDS Interface and Power-Up test is OK:
   (4) If the fault continues:
  • remove the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] AMM 23-73-34-000-001.
  • open these CBs:
    49VU: 159RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A ESS/FWD L,
    49VU: 179RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A ESS/AFT L,
    120VU: 163RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A NORM/L FWD,
    120VU: 167RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A NORM/L AFT.
  • make sure that the resistance (line to line) at DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] and DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector AA/D15 and connector AA/E15 is between approx. 80 and 120 ohm ASM 237306.
   (5) If the resistance (line to line) is between approx. 80 and 120 ohm:
  • make sure that the resistance (line to GND) is not less than 200 ohm (short circuit) between:
    DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] and DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector AA/D15 and GND,
    DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] and DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector AA/E15 and GND. ASM 237306
     (a) If there is no short circuit:
  • remove the DEU-A [200RH15] AMM 23-73-46-000-001.
  • install the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] and DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] AMM 23-73-34-400-001.
  • close these CBs:
    49VU: 159RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A ESS/FWD L,
    49VU: 179RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A ESS/AFT L,

  • disconnect the electrical connector from the DEU TERMINATION BOX [209RH1] ASM 237306,
  • do a check for a short circuit again.
         a If there is no short circuit:
         b If the fault continues:
   (6) If the resistance (line to line) is more than 120 ohm (open circuit):
  • disconnect the electrical connector from the DEU TERMINATION BOX [209RH1] ASM 237306.
  • make sure that the resistance (line to line) is not more than 120 ohm (open circuit) between:
    DEU TERMINATION BOX [209RH1] pin A/1 and pin A/2
     (a) If there is an open circuit:
     (b) If there is not an open circuit:
  • reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU TERMINATION BOX [209RH1] ,
  • disconnect the electrical connector from the DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] ASM 237306,
  • do a check for continuity at the wiring between:
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector AA/D15 and the DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] connector pin A/2,
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector AA/E15 and the DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] connector pin A/1.
       1 If there is no continuity:
  • repair the wiring between the DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector and the DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] connector ASM 237306.
       2 If there is continuity:
  • do a check for continuity of the wiring between:
    DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] pin A/1 and pin A/9 ,
    DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] pin A/2 and pin A/10.
         a If there is no continuity:
         b If there is continuity:
  • reconnect the connector to the DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] .
  • do the steps 4. B. (6) again for the subsequent DEU CONNECTION BOXES until the maintenance message stops:
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] and DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH3] connector,
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] and DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH7] connector,
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] and DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH11] connector,

  • during the installation of the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] do not close these CBs:

  • open these CBs:

  • make sure that the resistance (line to line) at DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] and DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector AA/D15 and connector AA/E15 is between approx. 80 and 120 ohm ASM 237306.
   (5) If the resistance (line to line) is between approx. 80 and 120 ohm:
  • make sure that the resistance (line to GND) is not less than 200 ohm (short circuit) between:
    DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] and DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector AA/D15 and GND,
    DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] and DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector AA/E15 and GND. ASM 237306
     (a) If there is no short circuit:
  • remove the DEU-A [200RH15] AMM 23-73-46-000-001.
  • install the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] and DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] AMM 23-73-34-400-001.
  • close these CBs:

  • disconnect the electrical connector from the DEU TERMINATION BOX [209RH1] ASM 237306,
  • do a check for a short circuit again.
         a If there is no short circuit:
         b If the fault continues:
   (6) If the resistance (line to line) is more than 120 ohm (open circuit):
  • disconnect the electrical connector from the DEU TERMINATION BOX [209RH1] ASM 237306.
  • make sure that the resistance (line to line) is not more than 120 ohm (open circuit) between:
    DEU TERMINATION BOX [209RH1] pin A/1 and pin A/2
     (a) If there is an open circuit:
     (b) If there is not an open circuit:
  • reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU TERMINATION BOX [209RH1] ,
  • disconnect the electrical connector from the DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] ASM 237306,
  • do a check for continuity at the wiring between:
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector AA/D15 and the DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] connector pin A/2,
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector AA/E15 and the DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] connector pin A/1.
       1 If there is no continuity:
  • repair the wiring between the DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector and the DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] connector ASM 237306.
       2 If there is continuity:
  • do a check for continuity of the wiring between:
    DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] pin A/1 and pin A/9 ,
    DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] pin A/2 and pin A/10.
         a If there is no continuity:
         b If there is continuity:
  • reconnect the connector to the DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] .
  • do the steps 4. B. (6) again for the subsequent DEU CONNECTION BOXES until the maintenance message stops:
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] and DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH3] connector,
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] and DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH7] connector,
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] and DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH11] connector,

  • during the installation of the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] do not close these CBs:

  • install the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] AMM 23-73-34-400-001.
  • do the CIDS Interface and Power-Up test through the CFDS.
   (3) If the CIDS Interface and Power-Up test is OK:
   (4) If the fault continues:
  • remove the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] AMM 23-73-34-000-001.
  • open these CBs:
    49VU: 159RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A ESS/FWD L,

  • make sure that the resistance (line to line) at DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] and DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector AA/D15 and connector AA/E15 is between approx. 80 and 120 ohm ASM 237306.
   (5) If the resistance (line to line) is between approx. 80 and 120 ohm:
  • make sure that the resistance (line to GND) is not less than 200 ohm (short circuit) between:
    DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] and DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector AA/D15 and GND,
    DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] and DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector AA/E15 and GND. ASM 237306
     (a) If there is no short circuit:
  • remove the DEU-A [200RH15] AMM 23-73-46-000-001.
  • install the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] and DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] AMM 23-73-34-400-001.
  • close these CBs:
    49VU: 159RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A ESS/FWD L,
    49VU: 195RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A ESS/MID L,
    49VU: 179RH COM NAV/CIDS/DEU A ESS/AFT L,

  • do the CIDS Interface and Power-Up test through the CFDS.
       1 If the CIDS Interface and Power-Up test gives the maintenance message DEU-A [200RH15] :
       2 If the CIDS Interface and Power-Up test gives the maintenance message CIDS TOP BUS 1L/DIR2 (102RH):
     (b) If there is a short circuit:
       1 If there is no short circuit:
       2 If the fault continues:
  • disconnect the electrical connector from the DEU TERMINATION BOX [209RH1] ASM 237306.
  • do a check for a short circuit again.
         a If there is no short circuit:
         b If the fault continues:
   (6) If the resistance (line to line) is more than 120 ohm (open circuit):
  • disconnect the electrical connector from the DEU TERMINATION BOX [209RH1] ASM 237306.
  • make sure that the resistance (line to line) is not more than 120 ohm (open circuit) between:
    DEU TERMINATION BOX [209RH1] pin A/1 and pin A/2
     (a) If there is an open circuit:
     (b) If there is not an open circuit:
  • reconnect the electrical connector to the DEU TERMINATION BOX [209RH1] ,
  • disconnect the electrical connector from the DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] ASM 237306,
  • do a check for continuity at the wiring between:
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector AA/D15 and the DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] connector pin A/2,
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector AA/E15 and the DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] connector pin A/1.
       1 If there is no continuity:
  • repair the wiring between the DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] connector and the DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] connector ASM 237306.
       2 If there is continuity:
  • do a check for continuity of the wiring between:
    DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] pin A/1 and pin A/9 ,
    DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] pin A/2 and pin A/10.
         a If there is no continuity:
         b If there is continuity:
  • reconnect the connector to the DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH1] .
  • do the steps 4. B. (6) again for the subsequent DEU CONNECTION BOXES until the maintenance message stops:
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] and DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH3] connector,
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] and DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH5] connector,
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] and DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH7] connector,
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] and DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH9] connector,
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] and DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH11] connector,
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] and DEU CONNECTION BOX [208RH13] connector,
    DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] and DEU TERMINATION BOX [209RH1] connector,
   (7) If the resistance (line to line) is less than 80 ohm (short circuit):

  • Make sure that all previously opened CBs are closed.
