A. Test
   (1) Do the CIDS BITE test through the CFDS.

   (2) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel 25VU:
  • set the switch related to the fault to the ON postion:
  • the SEAT BELTS switch (191RH),
  • the NO SMOKING switch (190RH),
  • the EXIT switch (190RH).
   (3) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel 21VU:
  • push the pushbutton switch related to the fault:
  • the EMER CALL pushbutton switch (180RH),
  • the FWD pushbutton switch (181RH1),
  • the AFT pushbutton switch (181RH2).

   (1) Do the CIDS Interface and Power-Up test through the CFDS.

B. If there is no reaction of all the CIDS related cockpit-switches in the cabin:
Subtask 23-73-00-810-420-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. If no FASTEN SEAT BELT signs in the cabin come on:
  • make sure that at least one cabin door is open,
  • make sure that the EMER LT (4WL) switch is in the OFF position.
  • make sure that the SEAT BELTS (191RH) switch is in the ON position,
  • open these CBs:
    49VU: 150RH (G01) COM DIR ESS/1
    49VU: 157RH (G02) COM DIR ESS/2
    121VU:151RH (M06) CIDS/DIR NORM/1
    121VU:156RH (M07) CIDS/DIR NORM/2,
  • wait for approx. 10 s and close the CBs 156RH and 157RH,
  • stop for approx. 120 s,
  • check if the FASTEN SEAT BELT signs in the cabin come on.
   (1) If the test is OK:
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • do a check and repair the wiring if necessary between the:
    DIR-CIDS connector AB/E15 and SEAT BELTS (191RH) switch,
    DIR-CIDS connector AB/D13 and SDAC1 (1WV1) connector AA/8G ASM 237302.
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • replace the SEAT BELTS (191RH) switch.

D. If no NO SMOKING signs in the cabin come on:
  • make sure that at least one cabin door is open,
  • make sure that the EMER LT (4WL) switch is in the OFF position,
  • make sure that the NO SMOKING (190RH) switch is in the ON position,
  • open these CBs:
    49VU: 150RH (G01) COM DIR ESS/1
    49VU: 157RH (G02) COM DIR ESS/2

    121VU:156RH (M07) CIDS/DIR NORM/2,
  • wait for 10 s and close the CBs 156RH and 157RH,
  • stop for approx. 120 s,
  • check if the NO SMOKING signs in the cabin come on.
   (1) If the test is OK:
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • do a check and repair the wiring if necessary between the:
    DIR-CIDS 101RH connector AB/D15 and NO SMOKING (190RH) switch,
    DIR-CIDS 101RH connector AB/C13 and SDAC1 (1WV1) connector AA/7H ASM 237302.
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • replace the NO SMOKING (190RH) switch.

I. If there is no reaction of the AIPs, ACPs and the ATTND-loudspeakers in the cabin:
  • make sure that at least one cabin door is open,
  • make sure that the EMER LT (4WL) switch is in the OFF position,
  • open these CBs:
    49VU: 150RH (G01) COM DIR ESS/1
    49VU: 157RH (G02) COM DIR ESS/2
    121VU:151RH (M06) CIDS/DIR NORM/1
    121VU:156RH (M07) CIDS/DIR NORM/2,
  • wait for approx. 10 s and close the CBs 156RH and 157RH,
  • stop for approx. 120 s,
  • push all CALL pushbuttons on the cockpit overhead panel 21VU (CALLS) again,
  • check that each CALL pushbutton has an associated reaction in the cabin on the AIP, ACP and ATTND loudspeaker.

   (2) If the fault continues:
  • do a check and repair the wiring if necessary between the:
    DIR-CIDS 101RH connector AB/3B and CALLS/FWD (181RH1) switch,
    DIR-CIDS 101RH connector AB/3C and CALLS/AFT (181RH2) switch,
