   (1) Do the BITE test of the AMU & ACP AMM 23-51-00-740-002.
   (2) Do the CIDS BITE test through the CFDS AMM 23-73-00-740-005.
   (3) Do the operational test of the Passenger Address (PA) system AMM 23-73-00-710-005.

4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 23-73-00-810-078-A
A. If the test gives a different maintenance message, do the trouble shooting procedure related to the maintenance message.

B. If the CIDS BITE test result is no fault message, but an announcement is not possible:
  • make sure that at least one cabin door is open.
  • make sure that the EMER LT (4WL) switch is in the OFF position.
  • open these CBs:
    49VU: 150RH (G01) COM DIR ESS/1
    49VU: 157RH (G02) COM DIR ESS/2
    121VU:151RH (M06) CIDS/DIR NORM/1
    121VU:156RH (M07) CIDS/DIR NORM/2,
  • wait for approx. 10 s and close the CBs 156RH and 157RH.
  • stop for approx. 120 s,
  • make an announcement again.
   (1) If an announcement is possible:
   (2) If an announcement is not possible:
  • replace the cockpit handset .
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • do a check and repair the wiring between the:
    DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/J2 and the COCKPIT HANDSET (130RH) connector A/1,
    DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/K2 and the COCKPIT HANDSET (130RH) connector A/2,
    DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/C1 and the COCKPIT HANDSET (130RH) connector A/4,
    DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/D1 and the COCKPIT HANDSET (130RH) connector A/5,
    DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/G1 and the COCKPIT HANDSET (130RH) connector A/6,
    DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector AB/H1 and the COCKPIT HANDSET (130RH) connector A/7,
    DIR-CIDS (101RH) connector screen and GND,

  • stop for approx. 120s,
  • make an announcement again.
