3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 23-44-00-740-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Do the BITE-test of the Cabin Intercommunication Data-System (CIDS) AMM 23-73-00-740-005.

4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 23-44-00-810-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. If the test confirms the fault:
(1) Deactivate the related DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] or DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] AMM 23-73-00-040-001.
(2) Do the test given in Para. 3.
(a) If the test is OK:
Replace the related DIR-CIDS AMM 23-73-34-000-001 and AMM 23-73-34-400-001.
(b) If the test is not OK:
Remove the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] and DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] AMM 23-73-34-000-001.
(3) On the rack, do a check for a short to ground at the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] and DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] AWM 234402 AWM 234403.
(a) If there is no short to ground:
1 Install the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] AMM 23-73-34-400-001.
2 Do the test given in Para. 3.
3 If the test is OK:

Install a new DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] .

4 If the test is not OK:

Replace the DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] AMM 23-73-34-000-001 and AMM 23-73-34-400-001.
Install the DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] AMM 23-73-34-000-001 and AMM 23-73-34-400-001.

(b) If there is a short to ground:
1 Disconnect the electrical connector of one MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK in the cabin.
2 Do a check for a short circuit at the connector of the interphone jack.
3 If there is a short circuit:

Replace the interphone jack.

4 If there is no short circuit:

Do the steps 1_ thru 4_ again until you have tested all the interphone jacks in the cabin.

5 If the fault continues:
6 Disconnect the electrical connector of one interphone jack in the power plant.
7 Do a check for a short circuit at the connector of the interphone jack.
8 If there is a short circuit:

Replace the interphone jack
AMM 23-44-41-000-002 or AMM 23-44-41-000-003
and
AMM 23-44-41-400-002 or AMM 23-44-41-400-003.

9 If there is no short circuit:

Do the steps 6_ thru 9_ again until you have tested all the interphone jacks in the power plant.

10 If the fault continues:
11 Do a check of the wiring for a short to ground of the MIC HI IN and the AUDIO HI OUT signal from:

The DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] to DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH]
The DIR-CIDS, 1 [101RH] to all interphone jacks
The DIR-CIDS, 2 [102RH] to all interphone jacks.

12 Repair the wiring as necessary.
13 Install the removed DIR-CIDS AMM 23-73-34-400-001.

5. Close-up
