3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 23-44-00-710-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Do these Tests
   (1) Make sure that the nacelles interphone jacks are clean and dry.
NOTE: If there is humidity in the jack plug, proceed to step 4.
   (2) Do the operational test of the cabin interphone system AMM 23-73-00-710-003.
   (3) Do the operational test of the passenger address system AMM 23-73-00-710-005.
Subtask 23-44-00-710-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Do these Tests
   (1) Make sure that the nacelles interphone jacks are clean and dry.
NOTE: If there is humidity in the jack plug, proceed to step 4.
   (2) Do the operational test of the cabin interphone system AMM 23-73-00-710-021.
   (3) Do the operational test of the passenger address system AMM 23-73-00-710-022.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 23-44-00-810-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If there is confirmation of the fault
   (1) Blow hot air into the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK, ENG1 (4000RJ-1), and the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK, ENG2 (4000RJ-2) until the jacks are dry.
     (a) Do the tests given in the para. 3.
   (2) If the fault continues:
   (3) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK, ENG1 (4000RJ-1), AMM 23-44-41-000-001.
     (a) Do the tests given in the para. 3.
       1 If the fault continues:

     (a) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK , ENG2 (4000RJ-2), AMM 23-44-41-000-001.

  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE, FWD AVIONICS COMPT [1RJ] .
   (6) If the fault continues:
     (a) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (2RJ).
       1 Do the tests given in the para. 3.
         a If the fault continues:
  • Connect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (2RJ).
         b If there is no fault:
  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE, R AVIONICS COMPT [2RJ] .
   (7) If the fault continues:
     (a) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (3RJ).
       1 Do the tests given in the para. 3.
         a If the fault continues:
  • Connect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (3RJ).
         b If there is no fault:
  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE, AFT AVIONICS COMPT [3RJ] .
   (8) If the fault continues:
     (a) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (11RJ).
       1 Do the tests given in the para. 3.
         a If the fault continues:
  • Connect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (11RJ).
         b If there is no fault:
  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE [11RJ] .
   (9) If the fault continues:
     (a) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (13RJ).
       1 Do the tests given in the para. 3.
         a If the fault continues:
  • Connect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (13RJ).
         b If there is no fault:
  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE [13RJ] .
   (10) If the fault continues:
     (a) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (14RJ).
       1 Do the tests given in the para. 3.
         a If the fault continues:
  • Connect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (14RJ).
         b If there is no fault:
  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE [14RJ] .
   (11) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check and repair as necessary the wiring between the CIDS DIRECTOR 1 (101RH) and/or the CIDS DIRECTOR 2 (102RH) connectors G7, H7, J7 and the:
  • MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK, ENG1 (4000RJ-1)
  • MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK, ENG2 (4000RJ-2)
  • MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (1RJ)
  • MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (2RJ)
  • MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (3RJ)
  • MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (11RJ)
  • MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (13RJ)
  • MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (14RJ), ASM 234401.

A. If there is confirmation of the fault
   (1) Blow hot air into the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK, ENG1 (4000RJ-1), and the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK, ENG2 (4000RJ-2) until the jacks are dry.
     (a) Do the tests given in the para. 3.
   (2) If the fault continues:
   (3) Replace the related ISOLATION UNIT [4RJ1] , ISOLATION UNIT [4RJ2] , ISOLATION UNIT [4RJ3] , ISOLATION UNIT [4RJ4] or ISOLATION UNIT [4RJ5] AMM 23-44-42-000-001 and AMM 23-44-42-400-001 .
     (a) Do the tests given in the para. 3.

  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE, FWD AVIONICS COMPT [1RJ] .
   (8) If the fault continues:
     (a) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (2RJ).
       1 Do the tests given in the para. 3.
         a If the fault continues:
  • Connect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (2RJ).
         b If there is no fault:
  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE, R AVIONICS COMPT [2RJ] .
   (9) If the fault continues:
     (a) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (3RJ).
       1 Do the tests given in the para. 3.
         a If the fault continues:
  • Connect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (3RJ).
         b If there is no fault:
  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE, AFT AVIONICS COMPT [3RJ] .
   (10) If the fault continues:
     (a) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (11RJ).
       1 Do the tests given in the para. 3.
         a If the fault continues:
  • Connect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (11RJ).
         b If there is no fault:
  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE [11RJ] .
   (11) If the fault continues:
     (a) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (13RJ).
       1 Do the tests given in the para. 3.
         a If the fault continues:
  • Connect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (13RJ).
         b If there is no fault:
  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE [13RJ] .
   (12) If the fault continues:
     (a) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (14RJ).
       1 Do the tests given in the para. 3.
         a If the fault continues:
  • Connect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (14RJ).
         b If there is no fault:
  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE [14RJ] .
   (13) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check and repair as necessary the wiring between the CIDS DIRECTOR 1 (101RH) and/or the CIDS DIRECTOR 2 (102RH) connectors G7, H7, J7 and the:
  • ISOLATION UNIT (4RJ1)
  • ISOLATION UNIT (4RJ2)
  • ISOLATION UNIT (4RJ3)
  • ISOLATION UNIT (4RJ4)
  • ISOLATION UNIT (4RJ5) ASM 234401
   (14) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check and repair as necessary the wiring between the related ISOLATION UNIT and the related MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK ASM 234401.
Subtask 23-44-00-810-051-G ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If there is confirmation of the fault
   (1) Blow hot air into the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK, ENG1 (4000RJ-1), and the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK, ENG2 (4000RJ-2) until the jacks are dry.
     (a) Do the tests given in the para. 3.
   (2) If the fault continues:
   (3) Replace the related ISOLATION UNIT [4RJ1] , ISOLATION UNIT [4RJ2] , ISOLATION UNIT [4RJ3] , ISOLATION UNIT [4RJ4] or ISOLATION UNIT [4RJ5] AMM 23-44-42-000-001 and AMM 23-44-42-400-001 .
     (a) Do the tests given in the para. 3.
   (4) If the fault continues:
   (5) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK, ENG1 (4000RJ-1), AMM 23-44-41-000-003.

  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE, FWD AVIONICS COMPT [1RJ] .

       1 Do the tests given in the para. 3.
         a If the fault continues:
  • Connect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (2RJ).
         b If there is no fault:
  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE, R AVIONICS COMPT [2RJ] .
   (9) If the fault continues:
     (a) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (3RJ).
       1 Do the tests given in the para. 3.
         a If the fault continues:
  • Connect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (3RJ).
         b If there is no fault:
  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE, AFT AVIONICS COMPT [3RJ] .
   (10) If the fault continues:
     (a) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (11RJ).
       1 Do the tests given in the para. 3.
         a If the fault continues:
  • Connect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (11RJ).
         b If there is no fault:
  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE [11RJ] .
   (11) If the fault continues:
     (a) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (13RJ).
       1 Do the tests given in the para. 3.
         a If the fault continues:
  • Connect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (13RJ).
         b If there is no fault:
  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE [13RJ] .
   (12) If the fault continues:
     (a) Electrically disconnect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (14RJ).
       1 Do the tests given in the para. 3.
         a If the fault continues:
  • Connect the MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK (14RJ).
         b If there is no fault:
  • Replace the JACK-MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE [14RJ] .
   (13) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check and repair as necessary the wiring between the CIDS DIRECTOR 1 (101RH) and/or the CIDS DIRECTOR 2 (102RH) connectors G7, H7, J7 and the:
  • ISOLATION UNIT (4RJ1)
  • ISOLATION UNIT (4RJ2)
  • ISOLATION UNIT (4RJ3)
  • ISOLATION UNIT (4RJ4)
  • ISOLATION UNIT (4RJ5) ASM 234401
   (14) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check and repair as necessary the wiring between the related ISOLATION UNIT and the related MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK ASM 234401.
