A. Do the BITE test of the cabin intercommunication data system (CIDS) AMM 23-33-00-710-005.

A. Maintenance Action
(1) Multiple RDUs connected to same ODB not powering up (ODB configuration)
(a) Turn ON the master power of the RAVE system.
(b) Make sure that none of the Display Control Buttons on any of the RDUs connected to the ODB are illuminated.
(c) Turn OFF the master power of the RAVE system.
(d) Gain access to the ODB and verify if the J3, J4, J5, J6, J1 and J2 are connected correctly.

NOTE: Depending on how many broadcast units are connected to the ODB, J3, J4, J5 and J6 may not be connected.

(e) Turn ON the master power of the RAVE system and make sure that the Display Control Buttons on all RDUs are now illuminated.
(f) If not, remove and replace the ODB ELECTRONIC CONTROL BOX [36MH] AMM 23-36-23-000-802 AMM 23-36-23-400-802.

Subtask 23-33-71-810-082-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Maintenance Action
(1) Single Dark Removable Display Unit (RDU) (Overhead Distribution Box (ODB) Configuration)
(a) Interchange the RDU with a known working RDU.
(b) If the issue is still present with the RDU replacement, turn OFF the master power of the RAVE system.
(c) Interchange the Display Docking Station (DDS) with a known good unit and dock the RDU.
(d) Turn ON the master power of the RAVE system.
(e) If the RDU is still does not receive power, turn OFF the master power of the RAVE system and check that the following connectors J3, J4, J5, J6, J1 and J2 are connected to the ODB.

NOTE: Depending on how many broadcast units are connected to the ODB, J6 may not be connected.

(f) Turn ON the master power of the RAVE system.
(g) If the RDU is still not receiving power, turn OFF the master power of the RAVE system.
(h) Interchange the ODB with a known good unit a ELECTRONIC CONTROL BOX [36MH] AMM 23-36-23-000-001 AMM 23-36-23-400-001 and turn ON the master power to the RAVE system.
