A. Maintenance Action
(1) Power-On Self Test (POST) Failure
(a) Hold down the Display Control Button to reset the RDU.
(b) If the POST Failure Screen appears, undock the RDU.
(c) Open the SD Card Door and make sure that there is a SD card in either or both slot.
(d) Dock the RDU.
(e) If the POST Failure Screen still appears, remove and replace the SYSTEM CONTROL UNIT [11MH] AMM 23-36-34-000-002 AMM 23-36-34-400-002.

(a) Hold down the Display Control Button to reset the RDU.
(b) If the POST Failure Screen appears, undock the RDU.
(c) Open the SD Card Door and make sure that there is a SD card in either or both slot.
(d) Dock the RDU.
(e) If the POST Failure Screen still appears, remove and replace the SYSTEM CONTROL UNIT [11MH] AMM 23-36-34-000-002 AMM 23-36-34-400-002.
B. Maintenance Action
(1) Operational Voltage Monitor Test
(a) Hold down the Display Control Button for up to 10 seconds to reset the Removable Display Unit (RDU).
(b) After a reset, if the fault still exists, interchange the RDU with a known good unit to isolate the RDU.

(a) Hold down the Display Control Button for up to 10 seconds to reset the Removable Display Unit (RDU).
(b) After a reset, if the fault still exists, interchange the RDU with a known good unit to isolate the RDU.

D. Maintenance Action
(1) Black Screen
(a) Make sure that the Display Control Button is illuminated.
(b) Hold down the Display Control Button for up to 10 seconds to reset the Removable Display Unit (RDU).
(c) If the RDU does not reset, undock and re-dock the RDU.
(d) Remove the back shell from the J1 connector and very gently tug on each wire to verify good soldering.
(e) If there are no issues with the cable, interchange the DDS with a known good unit and dock the RDU.
(f) Turn ON the master power of the RAVE system.
(g) If the error remains, remove and replace the SYSTEM CONTROL UNIT [11MH] and theDDS (11MH-1) AMM 23-36-34-000-002 AMM 23-36-34-400-002.
(h) If the error remains, remove and replace the Seat Power Unit (SPU) ELECTRONIC CONTROL BOX [36MH] AMM 23-36-34-000-002 AMM 23-36-34-400-002.

(a) Make sure that the Display Control Button is illuminated.
(b) Hold down the Display Control Button for up to 10 seconds to reset the Removable Display Unit (RDU).
(c) If the RDU does not reset, undock and re-dock the RDU.

(a) If the frozen screen is a movie, touch the screen.
(c) Push the Display Control Button and make sure that the GUI has becomes non-responsive.
(e) If the GUI does not reset, undock and re-dock the RDU.
(f) If the RDU restarts into a non-responsive or frozen screen, remove and replace the SYSTEM CONTROL UNIT [11MH] AMM 23-36-34-000-002 AMM 23-36-34-400-002.
Subtask 23-33-71-810-072-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Frozen Screen
(a) If the frozen screen is a movie, touch the screen.
NOTE: If a movie plays, the touch of the screen will bring up overlays on the bottom of the screen for movie navigation and volume control.
(b) Make sure that the movie is not paused. (c) Push the Display Control Button and make sure that the GUI has becomes non-responsive.
NOTE: When the Display Control Button is pushed, the Application Panel will show from the right.
(d) Push and hold down the Display Control Button for up to 10 seconds to reset the Removable Display Unit (RDU). (e) If the GUI does not reset, undock and re-dock the RDU.
(f) If the RDU restarts into a non-responsive or frozen screen, remove and replace the SYSTEM CONTROL UNIT [11MH] AMM 23-36-34-000-002 AMM 23-36-34-400-002.
F. Maintenance Action
(1) Removable Display Unit (RDU) Display issues
(a) To reset the RDU touch the Display Control Button for 10 seconds.
(b) If the issue continues,

(a) Hold the Display Control Button or Reset Button for up to 10 seconds in order to reboot the display.
(b) If the display remain on the initialization screen for five minutes (does not auto reboot or show GUI), move the display screen to a location that does not have problems.
(c) Move a known good unit into a location that would not advance past initialization screen.
(d) If the problem follows the display, perform a USB Front Load Software Update.
(e) Interchange the SD cards with a known good unit.

(a) Determine the specific unit that reports the high reset numbers and ensure proper connections to the display.
(b) Perform phantom touch testing to determine if a constant touch is observed to prevent normal GUI use and if he causes a need to reset.
(c) If the suspected unit is a Removable Display Unit (RDU), relocate to nearby position and place a known operational RDU into the position that causes problems.
(d) If the fault follows the RDU, remove and replace the SYSTEM CONTROL UNIT [11MH] AMM 23-36-34-000-002 AMM 23-36-34-400-002.
(e) If necessary, remove and replace theDDS (11MH-1) AMM 23-36-34-000-002 AMM 23-36-34-400-002.
