A. Maintenance Action
   (1) SCU Fault LED ON
     (a) Turn OFF the master power of the RAVE System.
     (b) Make sure that the connectors are correctly attached on the back of the SCU.
     (c) Make sure that the SCU is installed correctly into the mounting tray and that the hold down latches are correctly secured.
     (d) Turn ON the master power of the RAVE system.
     (e) Let the SCU start up fully and make sure that the Fault LED is OFF.
     (f) If the Fault LED starts up to RED, remove and replace the I.F.E.CONTROLLER [311MK] AMM 23-33-37-000-001 AMM 23-33-37-400-001.

B. Maintenance Action
   (1) SCU Fan Speed Failure (except PN 00-5013-XX)
     (a) Make sure that there is no foreign object that stops the SCU Fan to turn.
     (b) Power Cycle the IFE System. If the SCU temperature is still below a certain limit, multiple power cycles are needed to clear this fault.
     (c) If on start-up the fan is not functional, remove and replace the I.F.E.CONTROLLER [311MK] AMM 23-33-37-000-001 AMM 23-33-37-400-001.
     (d) If on start-up the fan is functional but the error message still appears, the Control Panel (CP) reports a false positive.
     (e) Contact "Zii" Customer Support at "customer.support#agrave#imsco-us.com" for further direction.
NOTE: If the temperature is below a certain limit, the SCU fans will slow down or not turn. After the temperature reaches a 19 deg.C (66.20 deg.F), the fans will turn at the expected RPMs. A later version of a RAVE software will address this issue.

K. Maintenance Action
   (1) Data Offload Issues (Maintenance Reports show No Data)
     (a) If all the RAVE aircrafts have offload issues at the same time, check with the account provider for the SIM card.
     (b) If the issue is only seen at a specific aircraft and the other aircrafts offload with no issues, check that the SIM cards are installed correctly:
  • Turn OFF the master power of the RAVE system and then make sure that the SIM card exposed copper section faces down and the notched edge of the SIM Card faces outward.
  • Turn ON the master power of the RAVE system and perform a simulated flight.
  • Make sure that the SCU WLess LED goes from flashing to solid.
NOTE: This step must be performed at the home base. The home base airport must be selected (at the Control Panel (CP) for the Arrival city prior to start the simulated flight).
     (c) At the CP and in the Maintenance Mode, make sure the AT-GATE discrete is showing a yellow dot (AT-GATE asserted).
  • If the AT-GATE shows a gray dot, the discrete line going from the aircraft to the SCU is not connected. Wiring will need to be checked.
