3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 23-11-00-740-054-A
A. Test
   (1) Do the BITE test of the HF system AMM 23-11-00-740-001.
NOTE: Do this test for the HF 1 only.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 23-11-00-810-052-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test gives the maintenance message
HF1 (3RE1)/ COAX:
   (1) If the fault continues:
   (2) If the fault continues:
   (3) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check of the wiring from the HF 1 coupler (4RE1)
    . to the ground:
    4RE1 pins A/G, D
    . to the HF 1 transceiver (3RE1):
    * 4RE1 pins A/A, L to 3RE1 pins AC/9, 1
    * 4RE1 pins A/B, c to 3RE1 pins AB/4E, 4F
    * 4RE1 pin B to 3RE1 pin AB/C (coaxial) ASM 231101.
     (a) If there is no continuity:
  • Repair the related wiring.
     (b) If there is continuity:
  • Do a check and repair the wiring between the HF 1 coupler (4RE1) and the HF antenna (5RE) ASM 231101.
       1 If there is no continuity:
  • Repair the above wiring.
       2 If there is continuity:

A. If the test confirms the fault:
CHECK HF-1 ANTENNA CIRCUIT
   (1) If the fault continues:
   (2) If the fault continues:
   (3) If the fault continues:
     (a) Do a check of the wiring : ASM 231101
  • From the HF 1 coupler (4RE1) and to the ground:
    . Pins A/G, D
  • From the HF 1 coupler (4RE1) and to the HF 1 transceiver (3RE1):
    . Pins A/A, L to 3RE1 pins AC/9, 1
    . Pins A/B, < C to 3RE1 pins AB/4E, 4F
    . Pin B to 3RE1 pin AB/C (coaxial).
     (b) If there is no continuity:
  • Repair the related wiring.
     (c) If there is continuity:
  • Do a check and repair the wiring between the HF 1 coupler (4RE1) and the HF antenna (5RE) ASM 231101.
       1 If there is no continuity:
  • Repair the above wiring.
       2 If there is continuity:

B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
