Automatic Transfer of the FD 1 Indication to the PFD 2 Inoperative
1. Possible Causes
- FMGC-1 [1CA1]
wiring of the FD OWN ENGD MON OPP discrete (from the FMGC 1 (1CA1) to the first terminal block) - DMC-2 [1WT2]
wiring of the FD 1 ENGD from the DMC 2 (1WT2) to the first terminal block - FMGC-2 [1CA2]
wiring of the FD OPP ENGD MON discrete (from the FMGC 2 (1CA2) to the first terminal block) wiring of the FD OPP ENGD COM discrete (from the FMGC 2 (1CA2) to the FMGC 1 (1CA1))

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Do the EIS start procedure AMM 31-60-00-860-001.
(2) Make sure that the two FDs are engaged (if they are not engaged, push the FD pushbutton switches on the FCU).
Subtask 22-83-00-710-100-B (1) Do the EIS start procedure AMM 31-60-00-860-001.
(2) Make sure that the two FDs are engaged (if they are not engaged, push the FD pushbutton switches on the FCU).
C. Test
(1) Open the circuit breaker 10CA2 and make sure that the FD 1 indication comes into view on the PFD 2.
(2) Close the circuit breaker 10CA2.
(3) Do the operational test of the AFS AMM 22-96-00-710-001 and read the result for the FMGC 2.
4. Fault Isolation(1) Open the circuit breaker 10CA2 and make sure that the FD 1 indication comes into view on the PFD 2.
(2) Close the circuit breaker 10CA2.
(3) Do the operational test of the AFS AMM 22-96-00-710-001 and read the result for the FMGC 2.
Subtask 22-83-00-810-093-B
A. If the FD 1 indication does not come into view on the PFD 2 and if the test gives the maintenance message AFS: FMGC2/FMGC1 (FD CKT):
Subtask 22-83-00-810-094-A - replace the FMGC-1 [1CA1] , AMM 22-83-34-000-001 and AMM 22-83-34-400-001.
- do a check and repair the
wiring of the FD OWN ENGD MON OPP discrete (from the FMGC 1 (1CA1) to the first terminal block) , ASM 228502.
B. If the FD 1 indication does not come into view on the PFD 2 and if no messages come into view after the test:
Subtask 22-83-00-810-095-A - replace the DMC-2 [1WT2] , AMM 31-63-34-000-001 and AMM 31-63-34-400-001.
- do a check and repair the
wiring of the FD 1 ENGD from the DMC 2 (1WT2) to the first terminal block , ASM 228502.
C. If the FD 1 indication comes into view on the PFD 2 and if the test gives the maintenance message AFS: FMGC2/FMGC1 (FD CKT):
Subtask 22-83-00-710-101-A - replace the FMGC-2 [1CA2] , AMM 22-83-34-000-001 and AMM 22-83-34-400-001.
- do a check of the
wiring of the FD OPP ENGD MON discrete (from the FMGC 2 (1CA2) to the first terminal block) , ASM 228502.
- repair the above wiring.
- do a check and repair the
wiring of the FD OPP ENGD COM discrete (from the FMGC 2 (1CA2) to the FMGC 1 (1CA1)) , ASM 228502.
D. Do the test given in Para. 3.
