Removal of the Upper Inhibit Lever Cable

WARNING: YOU MUST NOT GET HYDRAULIC FLUID ON YOUR SKIN, IN YOUR EYES OR IN YOUR MOUTH. THE HYDRAULIC FLUID IS POISONOUS AND CAN BE ABSORBED INTO YOUR BODY. IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY GET HYDRAULIC FLUID IN YOUR EYES, MOUTH OR ON YOUR SKIN, FLUSH WITH WATER AND GET MEDICAL AID.
CAUTION: YOU MUST NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT- FREE CLOTH. THE HYDRAULIC FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND SOME PARTS.

F Inhibit Cable Handle Assembly ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Put the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (1) in the inhibited position.
   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
   (3) Remove the access panels on the pylon (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-805).

4. Procedure
Subtask 78-31-06-020-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Upper Inhibit Lever Cable
   (1) Disconnect the upper inhibit lever cable from the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
     (a) Remove the cotter pin (3) and the nut (2) that attach the upper inhibit cable (1) to the HCU (4).
       1 Discard the cotter pin (3).
     (b) Disengage the upper inhibit cable (1) from the HCU (4).
   (2) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

   (3) Move the quick release sleeve (8) on the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (7) back.
   (4) Disconnect the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (7) from the upper inhibit cable (1).
   (5) Remove the two screws (9) and the two washers (10).
   (6) Remove by pulling down the upper inhibit cable (1).
