Removal of the Pressure Raising Valve (PRV) and Tubes
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET AIRCRAFT FUEL IN YOUR MOUTH OR IN YOUR EYES.
IF YOU GET FUEL ON YOUR SKIN OR ON YOUR CLOTHES, FLUSH IT IMMEDIATELY WITH WATER.
IF NECESSARY, GET MEDICAL HELP.
AIRCRAFT FUEL IS POISONOUS.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET ENGINE FUEL OR OIL FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED FUEL OR OIL MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FUEL OR OIL CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.
CAUTION:
DO NOT PUT FUEL THAT HAS BEEN DRAINED FROM THE ENGINE BACK IN TO THE FUEL SYSTEM.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 73-11-47-010-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010).

(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.
4. Procedure(1) Open the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010).

A. Removal of the Fuel Tube (4)
(1) Disconnect the tube assembly (4) from the engine fuel supply tube (5) and from the Pressure Raising Valve (PRV) (10).

(2) Make a note of position of the two spacers (76) and (78). Remove the bolt (73), the washer (74) and the two spacers (76) and (78) that attach the clips (75), (77) and (79) to the bracket (80) at position R.

(6) Remove the bolt (63), the washer (64) and the nut (66) that attach the clips (65) to the lug on the tube (4) at position N.
(7) Remove the tube (4).
Subtask 73-11-47-010-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Disconnect the tube assembly (4) from the engine fuel supply tube (5) and from the Pressure Raising Valve (PRV) (10).

(a) Removal of the lockwire
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
1 Cut, remove and discard the lockwire that attaches the blanking plug (90) at position T. (b) Remove the blanking plug (90) from the fuel supply tube (5).

(7) Remove the tube (4).
B. Removal of the fuel tube (3)
(1) Remove the PRV (10) from the tube assembly (3) at position M.
(2) Disconnect the tube assembly (3) from the adaptor (7) on the bifurcation panel (9) at position G.

(3) Make a note of position of the spacer (59). Remove the bolt (55), the washer (56), the spacer (59), the washer (61) and the nut (62) that attach the clips (57), (58) and (60) to the lug on the tube at position L.

(6) Remove the bolt (42), the two washers (43) and (46) and the nut (47) that attach the clips (44) and (45) to the lug on tube at position J.
(7) Remove the bolt (38), the washer (39) and the nut (41) that attach the clip (40) to the lug on the tube (3) at position H.
(8) Remove the tube (3).

(2) Disconnect the tube assembly (3) from the adaptor (7) on the bifurcation panel (9) at position G.

(6) Remove the bolt (42), the two washers (43) and (46) and the nut (47) that attach the clips (44) and (45) to the lug on tube at position J.
(7) Remove the bolt (38), the washer (39) and the nut (41) that attach the clip (40) to the lug on the tube (3) at position H.
(8) Remove the tube (3).
C. Removal of the fuel tube (2)
(1) Disconnect the tube assembly (2) from the adaptor (7) on the bifurcation panel (9) and from the VSV actuator outlet at position U.
(2) Remove the bolt (34), the washer (36) and the nut (37) that attach the clip (35) to the lug on the tube (2) at position F.
(3) Remove the bolt (29), the washer (32) and the nut (33) that attach the clip (31) to the lug on the tube (2) at position E.
(4) Make a note of position of the spacer (27). Remove the bolt (24), the washer (25), the spacer (27) and the nut (28) that attach the clip (26) to the lug on the tube at position A.
(5) Remove the tube (2).
Subtask 73-11-47-010-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Disconnect the tube assembly (2) from the adaptor (7) on the bifurcation panel (9) and from the VSV actuator outlet at position U.
(2) Remove the bolt (34), the washer (36) and the nut (37) that attach the clip (35) to the lug on the tube (2) at position F.
(3) Remove the bolt (29), the washer (32) and the nut (33) that attach the clip (31) to the lug on the tube (2) at position E.
(4) Make a note of position of the spacer (27). Remove the bolt (24), the washer (25), the spacer (27) and the nut (28) that attach the clip (26) to the lug on the tube at position A.
(5) Remove the tube (2).
D. Removal of the adaptor (7)
(1) Remove the two bolts (6) and the two nuts (8).
(2) Remove the adaptor (7) from the bifurcation panel (9) at position G.
Subtask 73-11-47-010-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the two bolts (6) and the two nuts (8).
(2) Remove the adaptor (7) from the bifurcation panel (9) at position G.
E. Removal of the fuel tube (1)
(1) Disconnect the tube assembly (1) from the four way connector (12) at position D.
(2) Remove the bolt (18), the washer (22) and the nut (23) that attach the clips (19) and (21) to the lug on the tube at position C.
(3) Make a note of position of the spacer (14). Remove the bolt (13), the spacer (14), the washer (16) and the nut (17) that attach the clip (15) to the lug on the tube (1) at position B.
(4) Remove the tube (1) and the packing (11) from the four way connector.
(5) Discard the packing (11).
Subtask 73-11-47-620-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Disconnect the tube assembly (1) from the four way connector (12) at position D.
(2) Remove the bolt (18), the washer (22) and the nut (23) that attach the clips (19) and (21) to the lug on the tube at position C.
(3) Make a note of position of the spacer (14). Remove the bolt (13), the spacer (14), the washer (16) and the nut (17) that attach the clip (15) to the lug on the tube (1) at position B.
(4) Remove the tube (1) and the packing (11) from the four way connector.
(5) Discard the packing (11).
F. Put the applicable CAP - BLANKING, COVER - PROTECTION and PLUG - BLANKING on all the openings.
