1. Reason for the Job
The critical nature of this special procedure means that any facility not authorized to accomplish this procedure either utilize a qualified vendor or contact IAE via the Pratt & Whitney global operations center before initiating the procedures contained within this SP. IAE is the sole source for qualification data in support of source demonstration programs. Any facility not authorized to perform the special procedure may contact IAE via the Pratt & Whitney global operations center to determine if a qualification program can be initiated at their facility.
The designation by IAE of an authorized vendor indicates that the vendor has demonstrated the necessary capability to enable it to carry out the procedure. However, IAE makes no warranties or representations concerning the qualifications or quality standards of the vendor to carry out the procedure and accepts no responsibility what so ever for any work that may be carried out by a vendor, other than when IAE is listed as the vendor. Authorized vendors do not act as agents or representatives of IAE or IAEs member companies.
