WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

1. Reason for the JobThis procedure gives instructions for replacement of the acoustic shroud bracket (fan case lug) and/or its attachment parts.
NOTE: The fan case lug is the technical term for the bracket.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
4. Procedure(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
- The ENG/MODE selector switch
- ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.

REFER TO THE PRODUCT LABEL AND THE MANUFACTURER'S (MATERIAL) SAFETY DATA SHEET (SDS) FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON THE HAZARDS, STORAGE, SAFE HANDLING AND CORRECT USE OF CONSUMABLE PRODUCTS.
Subtask 72-23-01-350-050-A A. Replacement of the Acoustic Shroud Bracket and/or its Attachment Parts
SPM 704351 :
(a) If there are several washers installed, for each bracket and each bolt location, identify and record each bracket and bolt location and the number of the washers for each bolt location that you removed.
(2) Clean the area where you will install the new parts with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with isopropyl alcohol (Material No.CP1041) .
(3) Do a visual inspection of the fan case area where you will install the new parts, including the fan-case lug holes. All indications permitted as follows:
(5) Install the partsSPM 704351 and do the instructions that follow:
(b) Make sure that the bolt is still lubricated. Apply Cetyl Alcohol (lubricant) to the thread, if necessary.
(c) Find the number of the washers to use for each bracket and the bolt location:
1 Use the same number of the washers that you removed and recorded at Step 4.A.(1), but if necessary, do as follows:
a Measure the fan case remaining thickness to find the quantity of necessary EIPC 72-00-01-57-466 WASHERS (1) for each EIPC 72-00-01-57-467 BOLT (3) location and72000157-469 FAN CASE LUG (TYPE 1) 2 or 72000157-468 FAN CASE LUG (TYPE 2) 5 .
2 Use only the new EIPC 72-00-01-57-465 NUT (4).
5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO NOT TOUCH THE CASE SKIN DURING REMOVAL. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE FAN CASE CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:
IF THERE IS MORE THAN ONE WASHER AT ONE SCREW LOCATION, YOU MUST RECORD THE QUANTITY FOR EACH SCREW LOCATION AND FOR EACH BRACKET. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.
(1) Remove the parts to replace as follows (a) If there are several washers installed, for each bracket and each bolt location, identify and record each bracket and bolt location and the number of the washers for each bolt location that you removed.
(2) Clean the area where you will install the new parts with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with isopropyl alcohol (Material No.CP1041) .
(3) Do a visual inspection of the fan case area where you will install the new parts, including the fan-case lug holes. All indications permitted as follows:
- If not more than 0.7 mm (0.03 in.) each
- If the distance between two indications is more than 25 mm (0.98 in.).
(5) Install the parts
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE A REMOVED NUT AGAIN. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.
(a) Do a visual inspection of the bolts and the washers that you removed at the Step 4.A.(1). Deviation to a correct condition is not permitted. (b) Make sure that the bolt is still lubricated. Apply Cetyl Alcohol (lubricant) to the thread, if necessary.
(c) Find the number of the washers to use for each bracket and the bolt location:
1 Use the same number of the washers that you removed and recorded at Step 4.A.(1), but if necessary, do as follows:
a Measure the fan case remaining thickness to find the quantity of necessary EIPC 72-00-01-57-466 WASHERS (1) for each EIPC 72-00-01-57-467 BOLT (3) location and
2 Use only the new EIPC 72-00-01-57-465 NUT (4).

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
