A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(4) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
(5) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the front of the engine.
4. Procedure(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

A. Remove the fan forward acoustical panels (70) as follows:
(3) Remove the RTV 732 (Material No.CP2242) which remains on the forward acoustical panels.
CAUTION:
IF YOU USE A PNEUMATIC OR ELECTRICAL SCREWDRIVER TO UNTORQUE AND LOOSEN ALL ACOUSTICAL PANEL SCREWS, MAKE SURE THAT THE SCREWDRIVER SPEED IS NOT MORE THAN 200 RPM. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ACOUSTICAL PANEL.
(1) Remove the screws (80) which attach the forward panel (70) located in fan case. NOTE: If one screw is found untorqued, it must be discarded and replaced for re-installation.
(2) Disengage and remove the panel (70) from the case. (3) Remove the RTV 732 (Material No.CP2242) which remains on the forward acoustical panels.
