3. Job Set-up
Subtask 71-73-49-860-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

4. Procedure
Subtask 71-73-49-420-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Heat Exchanger Drain Tube
   (1) Remove the protective covers from the heat exchanger, the drain manifold module, and the drain tube.
   (2) Connect the heat exchanger drain tube (35) to the heat exchanger. Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
   (3) Connect the drain tube (35) to the drain manifold module. Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
   (4) Attach the drain tube (35) to the clamp on the fuel pump drain tube (15) with the clamp (20), the bolt (25) and the nut (30).
   (5) Attach the drain tube (35) to the bracket near the fuel pump with the clamp (20), the bolt (25) and the nut (30).
   (6) Connect the hydro mechanical unit and fuel servos drain tubes (5) and (10) to the drain tube (35). Do not torque the coupling nuts at this time.
   (7) Make sure that the drain tube (35) is aligned correctly on the engine.
   (8) TORQUE the nuts (30) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN ) T.
   (9) Torque the drain tubes and coupling nuts.
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE FITTINGS WHEN YOU LOOSEN/TIGHTEN THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE TUBES.
     (a) TORQUE for drain tube (5) coupling nut to between 13.35 and 12.54 lbf.ft (1.81 and 1.70 m.daN )

TORQUE the drain tubes (10) and (35) coupling nuts to between 26.70 and 25.81 lbf.ft (3.62 and 3.50 m.daN )
