Subtask 71-73-49-860-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-73-49-010-068-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.

Subtask 71-73-49-420-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Fuel Return Valve Drain Tube
(1) Remove the protective covers from the fuel return valve and the ends of the drain tubes (25) and (30).
(2) Connect the drain tube (30) to the fuel return valve. Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(3) Connect the drain tube (30) to the upper junction drain tube (25). Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(4) Attach the drain tube (30) to the fan case bracket with the clamp (5) and the bolt (10).
(5) Make sure that the drain tube (30) is aligned correctly on the engine.
(6) TORQUE the bolt (10) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )

(7) Torque the tube coupling nut.

Subtask 71-73-49-420-068-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the protective covers from the fuel return valve and the ends of the drain tubes (25) and (30).
(2) Connect the drain tube (30) to the fuel return valve. Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(3) Connect the drain tube (30) to the upper junction drain tube (25). Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(4) Attach the drain tube (30) to the fan case bracket with the clamp (5) and the bolt (10).
(5) Make sure that the drain tube (30) is aligned correctly on the engine.
(6) TORQUE the bolt (10) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
. (7) Torque the tube coupling nut.
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE FITTINGS WHEN YOU LOOSEN/TIGHTEN THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE TUBES.
(a) TORQUE the tube (30) coupling nuts to between 315 and 300 lbf.in (3.56 and 3.39 m.daN )
. B. Installation of the Upper Junction Drain Tube
(1) Remove the protective covers from the ends of the drain tubes (20), (25) and (30).
(2) Connect the drain tube (25) to the fuel return valve drain tube (30). Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(3) Connect the drain tube (25) to the lower junction drain tube (20). Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(4) Attach the drain tube (25) to the fan case channel with the clamp (5) and the bolt (10).
(5) Attach the drain tube (25) to the fan case brackets with the clamps (5), bolts (10) and nuts (15).
(6) Make sure that the drain tube (25) is aligned correctly on the engine.
(7) TORQUE the nut (15) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )

(8) TORQUE the bolt (10) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
.
(9) Torque the tube coupling nut.

Subtask 71-73-49-420-069-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the protective covers from the ends of the drain tubes (20), (25) and (30).
(2) Connect the drain tube (25) to the fuel return valve drain tube (30). Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(3) Connect the drain tube (25) to the lower junction drain tube (20). Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(4) Attach the drain tube (25) to the fan case channel with the clamp (5) and the bolt (10).
(5) Attach the drain tube (25) to the fan case brackets with the clamps (5), bolts (10) and nuts (15).
(6) Make sure that the drain tube (25) is aligned correctly on the engine.
(7) TORQUE the nut (15) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
. (8) TORQUE the bolt (10) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
. (9) Torque the tube coupling nut.
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE FITTINGS WHEN YOU LOOSEN/TIGHTEN THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE TUBES.
(a) TORQUE the tube (25) coupling nuts to between 315 and 300 lbf.in (3.56 and 3.39 m.daN )
. C. Installation of the Lower Junction Drain Tube
(1) Remove the protective covers from the drain manifold module and the ends of the drain tubes (20) and (25).
(2) Connect the drain tube (20) to the upper junction drain tube (25). Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(3) Connect the drain tube (20) to the drain manifold module. Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(4) Attach the drain tube (20) to the fan case bracket with the clamp (5), the bolt (10) and the nut (15).
(5) Attach the drain tube (20) to the clamp on the oil tank drain tube with the clamp (5), the bolt (10) and the nut (15).
(6) Make sure that the drain tube (20) is aligned correctly on the engine.
(7) TORQUE the nuts (15) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )

(8) Torque the tube coupling nut.

5. Close-up(1) Remove the protective covers from the drain manifold module and the ends of the drain tubes (20) and (25).
(2) Connect the drain tube (20) to the upper junction drain tube (25). Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(3) Connect the drain tube (20) to the drain manifold module. Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(4) Attach the drain tube (20) to the fan case bracket with the clamp (5), the bolt (10) and the nut (15).
(5) Attach the drain tube (20) to the clamp on the oil tank drain tube with the clamp (5), the bolt (10) and the nut (15).
(6) Make sure that the drain tube (20) is aligned correctly on the engine.
(7) TORQUE the nuts (15) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
. (8) Torque the tube coupling nut.
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE FITTINGS WHEN YOU LOOSEN/TIGHTEN THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE TUBES.
